SN Benchmarks HERE :-)
not sure if this is anywhere near the mark as I wasn't connected to the net at the time
lost save option afer closing the prog oops! good job I took a screen capture
having got 2 v-old clunky HDD's installed along with the new raptor, I should image that they have taken a chunk out of the overall score..
but anyway...

On checking the results against similar machines, it seems to be the CPU letting the side down,(virtually half the score in some places )
tried upping the multiplier to 12.5x but just wont av it (locks up soon after boot
tried upping the volts slightly (to 1.7v) in an effort to keep it stable, but alas it don't like that either..
Too scared to push the volts any higher.

temps hardly any different than before either.
socket 41, diode 54, case 28 (got the side panel off with a 12" fan blowing in there

)
All fun and games
back to work tomorrow

That is from an old non volt modded, non watercooled, aircooled mrfootlong modded 9700 pro
I don't live for benchies at all like some of the nutters on here and if I ever come across like that then I apologise because that simply is not the case. I simply love what I do with my machines and others. I want problem free, max speed usability and that I what I get and always strive to build. My machines always have a little left in reserve. I never bother with running on the brink tbh.
That was what you would classify an old generation setup now. J1nxy will be along shortly to show you what the latest generation stuff can do. Shame his success will only be short lived once I get my butt into gear and get building downstairs
Cheers,
Nick

I haven't honestly taken much notice about if they make a big difference or not, I think the newer ones have some performance gains but how much I don't know, I tend to put them on, and just run the games....
My whole reasoning behind the system I have is to run at 1280x960 or 1280x1024max'd out in things like BF1942, C&C Generals etc, and also to run with AA & AF max'd or very high as this looks rather nice on my 17" TFT. Surprisingly enough this system does that quite happily
I also wanted quiet as the PC lives in the front room, which with fans which kick out about 20-25db and only run them at 7v or so it doesnt make a whole lot of noise, and both Water and Vapo Chills also allow me to remove the main culprits in the noise stakes, the CPU, GFX and Northbridge fans.
When it cools down a bit and I've got some time on my hands I might install a clean OS and just see how far it'll go as the current benchmarks are just run on my day to day OS install with AV, firewall, and christ knows what else installed and running
