You want something like this

I think myself and Lord Harding can russle up a good turnout from the Tyne Tees Scoobies and Cumbrian Scoobs as well as the newly formed NIDC.

Keep up the good work.
If you need any ideas, I am sure John and myself can offer a few tips.

kipper57 & ninnybobs

thanks for your help lad's and if you can go ahead and see what you can do for me as in trying to get a date for crail, that would be great. the price sounds fine, as i'm sure a lot of folk would agree. i reckon, so far,we're looking at a good 100-150 scoobs(sounds reasonable anyway), which more than makes up for the work and price. i'f we can manage to bring thing's together fairly quickly, it should be fantastic! i'll see what i can do in my area, as there are a few scoob's which i don't think are on scoobynet,so i'll just have to get their attention by running them off the road! anyway, see what you can do and i hope to hear from everyone soon. i might find it a bit easier, if there are going to be a lot of folk trying to help out, just to receive e-mail's from everyone. so, if you can that would be a bit more helpfull.

cheers drb5

Seems to me that this

http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/thread.asp?threadid=229938

and this

http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/thread.asp?threadid=225527

are strangely coincidental

Kames could accommodate around 300 cars and the cicuit would be avaiable for use. It could be run as a double header if you liked, track one way on Sat, BBQ (drinkies) on the night and run the track the other way on Sun. Big RSOC days previously have also rented the field next to the track also. Ideally situated for our neighbours in North of Englandshire also, it's as quick to get from Gretna to Kames as it is from Edinburgh or Glasgow. Cost would not really be to concerning, something like £3 at the gate and £25 to take the car on track.
Camping, encouraged. Caravan park 100yrds from Circuit. Pubs close by.

What do yooz think ?

Ok u doubting *** (BTW lord doug edit that at u r peril )

Here`s the deal,

Spoke at length with my man Willie this morning (AS PROMISED) and were thinking just with the "tie it in with other events" thing
wot bout this 1 We get Crail on Sat 27th Sept for our "Mac Big 1" camp overnight and hey guess what Fast Car are at Crail on Sunday 28th Now obviously the gate fee on the Sunday doesn`t have much flex on it but Willie has assured me that if we were to go with this we will be allocated a significant display area on the Sunday for the Mac big 1 attendees. Further to that I`ll talk to my contact at the mag and make them aware of whats doin, so we get some pix up (if thats u r thing).

Ok now costs the least expensive option is :
We hire the place on the Sataurday as a track day.
What this entails is the usual track layout, a figure 8 and the oval. (correct me if i picked that up wrong) and the cost is...
well we need to have a minimum of 25 cars running at £35 a car.
Obviously we`d get some event T-shirts printed up and the runners get one for free. The cost to spectators is nothing.

We can chop n change how we do the money 2 suit ourselves. However we will need a retainer to confirm the date.

Well.... what d ya think peebs ???
I know its not a Sunday but it is in September
BTW the cost of staffing the strip with timing gear and support staff etc is significant so for now we`ll lets not do that. IMHO

sound's pretty good. don't know what people will think of it being on a saturday, but if we've still got something going on the sunday, i don't see why not! how much will it cost for entry on the sunday though and how many scoob's will be allowed to be there, cause remember there are gonna be a lot of other cars there...might be a bit too much, no?

LOL,

No such thing as too much m8
Trying to nail down a price for the Sunday, thing is though I need a good guestimate of numbers attending on both the Sataurday & Sunday For 3 reasons :

1. so we can talk turkey on the gate price for Sunday
2. so we know there`s a big nuff space allocated for us all
3. to assist in baiting the mag lads in our direction.

Also gonna c what it`d b ££ for us to have a bit of security on the Sataurday at the gate. Cos we`re no gonna b wanting the undesirables turning up & spoiling our closed session day.
