Cool

Dougster, Scotty and Diane got their first, hence the lack of other scoobies in their pics !
I took a few snaps at the end, but they're on 35mm, so will need developed. I'm sure I saw a few other cameras out though..... anyone ????

Had a decent turn out - 10 or there abouts I think. Thanks to all for coming along - it was good to meet you all. We even had a pre-owner !!! Currently looking for a bugeye wrx, but wanted to meet us to make sure he wasn't signing up to a duff owners club !! Hmmm, don't know what you think now - hope we didn't scare you off !!!

See you all at the next one, and thanks for the offer Doug - same applies back

Dave

p.s. I found Wendy's phone about half an hour ago - on the front seat of the GTR !! And she was the sober one !?!

What cracking day

Good to meet everyone and put faces to names

Only just recovering today from the session on Saturday!! (lightweight)
Thanks to Dougster for taking the car through, done very well holding the boost without getting fuel cut. Gives a taster of what's to come from the car soon
Wolk up Sunday morning totaly stuffed with hayfever

We did go for a drive later on with some Special Stage head to heads round the campsite at 3 in the morning!!
I thought the rumble at 3 in the morning was just you two snoring!!

Lo Dougie

Yeh got my old wheels back, effectively swapped them for the K2's.
They do alot more for the car and it deosn't look "long" any more which is what I didn't like about the K2's.
There's only a gap of about 3mm between the spokes and the calipers, but they just fit

Scoty

How do you find the car is with them on ?

I'm really undecided as to what to go for on mine.

Thinking Detroit F1's at the mo.

what size tyre did you need ?

You will be lucky to source a set of F1s.

Elite in Essex have one set left I think. Go for them quick before my bonus cheque comes through!!!

Car handles very steady on the 19s and similar to my 18s which are heavier!! Does tramline a little but you got to sacrifice a little for looks m8!!

ricco was running MOs on his Catalunya that was for sale. Ask him how wide they were. I feel 8' will be just too big but I can't be sure.

18' R3s below!

Johnny,

I started a link a few months back, asking peeps to post pics of their cars and say what wheels were on them. A few of the piccies have disappeared (including mine due to a server reload), but there are still a few on there.

Link to old wheel thread

Top man.

Thanks Dave.

Really like those Diablos, but cant seem to find them anywhere..maybe not made anymore.

Still in two minds wether to go for something standard looking, or just go for biggies !!

Trying to call TSL, but it's been engaged for ages, then i'd be able to find out if they've still got a set of Speedline Chronos for sale, quite like them.

Just called TSL.

They've got two sets of the Chronos left.
7.5x17"s.

£464 including vat and delivery for all four. No tyres though.

Would they fit ?

P1 runs on 7x17, but I doubt the 7.5's will give any trouble. I think Steve ran 8x18 and he didn't like the feel as he reckoned the rims were too wide for the tyres, but 7.5 should be fine I'd have thought. Take a scan down that wheel page and see if anyone is running 7.5's and mail them !

Cheers Dave.

Actually threw a post up in the Wheels/tyres section and got an answer from someone who's just done similar.

He said as long as i run 215/40x17 it will be ok.

Soooo....Should i go for the Chronos then ???

At least they're proper Subaru looking wheels.

Well...after all that.

I've decided not to bother with them.

I'll wait for a wee while and not be too hasty on my decision.

Think i'll hold out for some 18's...or if i'm feeling flush, maybe 19's.

LOL.... I was just trying to find somme piccies of chronos as well !!

Bigger wheels certainly look a lot better, if you can put up with the jiggering around and tramlining

Your decision making is bad as mine with the MD player !!

I can see me in 6 mths still driving around with square wheels on the car !
