New Rollcage turned up! - Lets hope this one fits :grr:
Got my mate coming round who works for a cage company who's going to help weld in the points where the cage bolts to the floor, then its a case of fitting it all in.
Also to fit we have 2 x One piece bucket seats (to save a aboslute HUGE amount of weight over the standard Recaro's) & harnesses.
Whilst thats happening I have a carbon fibre rear bulkhead & seat base trim to fit - may as well do it all at once!.
Nothing interesting technical going on at the moment, the manifold is pretty much made now! need to go & have a look at that - its a bit flash apparently.
All hell will break loose on the week of the 14th Noevember as thats the first free weekend is so I got to try & get this lot fitted!.
Has anyone ever taken off a steering wheel with an airbag in it to swap it with one that doesnt have one? - I dont want the bloody thing blowing up in my face & im not sure what happens when they are tampered with!!.
Still to do that leaves:
New front disks (warped the AP's :rolleyes)
Fit rear 3 point strut brace
Fit rollcage
Fit seats
Fit runners for seats
Fit harnesses
Carbon Fibre trim
Remove airbagged steering wheel
Refurbish rear brembo's
Modify orignal front bumper to accomodate intercooler
Get car back in bodyshop for a couple of things
Wire up defi's (if they ever frigging turn up as well)
When all that lot is done - the car is pretty much ready for the engine & ancillary bits & bobs!!!
I've forgotten loads of stuff no doubt - havent driven the car for nearly 2 months now! must take it out for a run

Oooooooh I thought I should add to this seeing as I haven't for a while.
Where am I then?
Car has been away again having the plates welded in for the roll cage, should be going to get it back on Saturday morning, then I have to fit the cage, fit the new seats, runners & harnesses.
Will post some piccies when all thats done & maybe some work in progress ones (depends how stressed I get trying to fit the roll cage)
Other bits that have since been fitted are Cusco Anti Roll bars, Cusco lower suspension cradle (front & rear) & the Ralliart bush kit
STILL waiting for my inlet manifold from Canada - never know I might get it by next year!
Got a spare room full of junk waiting to go - just a few more little bits for the engine (plus the inlet manifold) & then we should be ready to rock & roll
Oh & the car is going back into the bodyshop for a general tidy up & original front end to go back on... Want to keep it looking stealthy - well as stealthy as a bright yellow car can

It's been a while!
Update: Car is in & out of the bodyshop, all yellow again
Cage is in, seats are in, harnesses are in, got some minor suspension bits to go on shortly.
but STOP PRESS!!!! my inlet manifold is here! Woohoo! I've waited months & months for this, now I just have to get it all back on track & finished
Some pics below - thanks to David Wallis for the webspace for them
You will notice it has nitrous ports for a future experiment

Gossy,
It's about twice the size of the standard one - thats how it's better
The trumpets? well from what I gather there is two schools of thought as to whether they should be flush or sticking up as they are - no definative answer really
However the JUN one @ £3200 Plus VAT is almost identical in every way & thats made over 800bhp on the Norris Evo so I hope it should be ok
p.s. - did you get any luck with the SVA?
Cheers
