325 miles from a tank of fuel - what's wrong with it?????
You should get approx. 400 miles from a tank in an MY02 WRX, I did siiting at a poultry 75-80 mph from Oxford to Glasgow, using crappy 95 RON as well! Thats about 31 mpgs
Dunnno where they get these 34 mpg extra-urban figures at Subaru though, 55 mph on a flat, straight motorway with the wind behind you no doubt...

You must have a the carpet caught under the accellerator pedal
I typically get 280-310 before filling up, which equates usually to about 26mpg from my 98 wagon. Max/min economy I've recorded is 29/19.
Edited to add MY98 fuel tank is 60 litres.

I get about 270 - 280 out of a my 98 and now my 00.
that is all cross country on A/B roads and minor roads, and during the unsociable hours I'm not hanging around either!!!!
If you've got a scooby..... fuel economy is not the priority!!!

I travel motorway every day (50 miles round trip) and do an average of 200-210 miles to a tank.....What can be done to get better mileage out of my car? I have a 96 WRX STi

Thought I was heading for a record recently, 178 miles from full and the warning light was on
Then I noticed that I was on tripmeter B
, switched to A which showed 210 miles, which is more usual.
MY02 average 22mpg.

Usually around 21/22mpg (bit of town, bit of motorway). Max 24, min 18mpg.
Never seen 300 even on motorway runs.
No idea what it is on my cross-country sprint to play golf at the weekend. I can watch the gauge going down.

My JDM Wagon, MY94 ish, gets 23-25 mpg with boring regularity, on the to-work run of 30 odd miles a day, 1/2 of those at 30 / 40 mph in villages and towns and the rest 60 or 70 dual carriageways. This gets me about 280 - 300 miles per tank.
I know my scooby has the larger 60l tank as I often put in 52 to 56 litres of Optimax as the red needle hits the big E. ( No fancy low fuel lights here! )
On a steady motor way run I can get 34 - 38 MPg, 400 plus miles a tank, but if there are standing jams e.g. on M6 spagheti junction etc. then back to mid / high 20's!
