Thumbs up

There must be something wrong with my Scoob - I managed to get 325 miles out of a full tank of fuel

Admittedly they were mostly motorway miles but I wasn't hanging about (in fact I did a couple of short bursts flat out). I'm normally lucky to get half that driving around town!!!!

What sort of mileage do other people get from a full tank?

Bloody hell!!! I thought 325 was amazingly high but it would seem to be only average. Well that's the wind gone out of my sails!!!

Perhaps in future I should take it out of second?? (But it sounds soooooooooooo good!!!)

Were you not using the loud pedal

Seriously though, when I have done some motorway runs, at constant crusing speeds, I have seen over 300 miles from a tank of fuel regularly.

yep, I get this when I go up and down a motorway... Town driving seems to completely scupper economy.

I'm getting between 240 and 260miles to a tank in the P1. Thats using Optimax and costing £40 or over to fill up.

This is a mix between town driving and motorway. Never seen 300 miles to a tank

Older Scoobs have a smaller tank, I think 50 litres and newer scoobs have 60 litre tanks I think.
I do 80 mile pure motorway and can only ever get 27MPG.

I do 5 miles through town to work and back - fill up after 200 miles. Last 200 miles cost me £37.50 of SUL. Motorway driving 25-50% better economy.

Ive had 400 out of a tank but that was during the first 1000 miles, apart from that, anything from 320-360 miles out of a tank of optimax (with some very spirited bursts inbetween )

Recently 450 - 500 miles on a tank, going 50 mph for 3 hrs on a space-saver wheel... Who says scoobys are terrible drinkers..

Have had over 300 miles out of the P1's tank, but that's cruising on the motorway at the sort of speeds that lorries overtake you!

Check they haven't sold you a sport - I'm doing well to get 200 from my STI3. I blame the scoobysport exhaust

There seems to be a lot of variation here. I run mine (UK MY00 turbo with Blitz induction + Afterburner centre and rear) on Optimax and I normally get around 200 miles out of a tank. I was amazed and very pleased when I got the 325, hence the sarcastic post suggesting there must be something wrong with it!!

It sounds like some other people share my experience and get about the same 200 miles per tank but it also seems that some people are regularly getting much better economy than this with similar usage.

Is it just due to driving styles or are there major differences between model years?

Maybe us <200 gang have just got dodgy lambda/MAF sensors?!?

To get 400 miles from a tankful I would have to drive so slowly it would be dangerous!

i get about 220 miles out of my 94 wrx. Only costs £30 quid ish to fill up though. so dont know if it has a smaller tank than the UK Models.
Not too worried about it though, have a focus for work and my scooby for my weekend driving. Wont beat the focus then that thing averages about 500-550 miles a tank but its diesel.
