i didnt say would beat it
i know hugh bogged the launch and then mine developed a miss
so we both had a cr 4 p run LOL

what i was meaning was that hugh was winding me in at that
ridiculous rate because i was off throttle

like i say it will be interesting to see both cars run properly
together and im not afraid of my car being beat
(although that would be a first LOL)

span did u go to get a bite to eat mate , i headed home following rice rocket and my car gave in just before the forth rd bridge , no power it stopped accelarating and then started after 30 secs it was a scary moment , im going to get it checked today from mark at the garage

Yes, I think it would be an interesting match! Your car was certainly very impressive. I would admit defeat in my humble R33! I think Hugh timed you doing about a 11.5 quarter, although obviously not very precisely. What have you had the car dyno'd at? Mine did 303bhp at the wheels yesterday, which I was happy with given how little it's had done to it. Had to limit my runs on the strip as my new clutch started slipping. I think the surface on the track was so grippy that wheelspin was unlikely (except for your 360 spins!) and there was therefore more stress on the clutch. Cheers,

Moses, we just headed home. We got a bit lost leaving the airfield and did a bit of unsheduled sightseeing around Glenrothes

Get a compression check on your engine, check the plugs and change the oil (it was stinking of petrol!). You also need to check the fuel pressure (get someone with a gas analyser or wide band lambda to have a look at it)

 

Should have been more brave and tried against the Cossie, but I felt my transmission and clutch were on borrowed time. Would have been interesting to see the difference (315 at the wheels on AP22 which I believe but the roller figures were much lower). Only went against one Skyline which was grey and a fair few Evos, shame couldn't try against the black Skyline.

 

KSY, that would be great if you could mail that to me!

Hamish, the engine was originally dyno,d at 512bhp
its never been on a rr
it should still be pushing around the 500bhp plus the nos
will give mabe another 40-50 bhp, but i,ll change for bigger
jets before i race hugh LOL

i may get jim to spin it up on the rollers this week to see whatit
is putting out,

lol yep your corsa had me worried for a bit!

clutch jammed on the floor, the cable popped off at the airfield
later so i think the problem is linked i,l have to have a look at
that

span thank God the engine was still ok but i need new spark plugs now and the fuel pressure was nearly 5 bar fecking cont didnt check it when he fitted the 350 litre fuel pump

 

just a bit rich then moses,we all knew it was something simple that would be making it go like a lawn mower .

change the oil too,it will have a been diluted down with petrol.

 

pmsl yeah mate and also misfiring so i ordered new plugs too

and the oils been changed mate it was thin as water fecking hell more fuel than oil

 

yeah,I got a slow blue scoob(by sunday's standards).

drove john banks scoob a few times at the airfield to teach you evo hooligans that you need much more power to take us ,it's not just andyf you have to fear now.
