1.47.04 is pretty quick (only 3 seconds off the likes of Gregor Huttu )... I can't see me getting very close to that - I can see where I can gain 0.5 quite easily but a 1.47 is a bit beyond my abilities

As for Vroc, check your vroc.ini file. It should have the following:

[Vroc]
Address=216.7.136.5

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Christian

BTW: Simon, I tried refreshing and all the usual things (clearing history and deleting all offline content in case of caching problems). Anyway problem sorted now.

Edited because my smily came out wrong

OK...

What track do we fancy next?

I really like Mexico and every one else seems to hate it, so I'll leave the next one open for discussion. (please not monza (snorza) )

Hi All,

Inbetween baby feeding I did a 2:01.03 in the Ferrari. The most difficult bend I find is the very first long right hander between the polo's.
Anyway, what about Rouen?

Had a quick blast on that and it seems a pretty interesting one. I'm not suggesting for a second that I didn't also spend half my time with no wheels/upside down/backwards on grass/stuck on hedge etc etc

LOL!

Yeah, great suggestion! I've spent VERY little time on that track so I would enjoy getting to grips with it. I really don't think I'll be fast though.

I'll start another thread

Logged in on Monday thinking a 1:48.79 was pretty good, only to find you'd raised (lowered? ) the bar to 1:47.04!!! Sheesh, give us a chance Simon!

Well, after much gnashing of teeth & studying of replays, I have to admit defeat. My final time was a 1:47.62, achieved without hitting any walls and two wheels on the tarmac at all times. The replay is available

Hi David

Nice time mate! I can see I'm going to need to get a steering wheel and peddles in an attempt to stay ahead!! joystick is ok, but you lose an entire level of car control by not being able to left foot brake.

I think you are right to mention that you hadn't hit walls, etc as I think this should be outlawed also, otherwise you could rail ride, etc as well.

Cheers

Simon

If you can pull a 1:47 without it, then you'll murder me once you carry some more speed into the two long right-handers!!

I think the common sense rules we have are pretty good. I think the best thing to do is encourage people to post replays and then we can all take a look at them and judge for ourselves.

You don't want to do that with my laps, they take so long you will have fallen asleep before the end
