Cool - I thought it was Winchester, just couldn't be sure!

That's ok with us - not sure where Paul was talking about meeting, I think there was mention of Winchester Services, but I guess we could meet you there or pick you up if you didn't want to leave your car there....no problem for a lift anyway, we'll arrange the location when we know the arrangements etc if that's ok with you

(unless you get a better offer of course! )

I took my Scooby out yesterday for it's first proper blast since the Big Southern Meet. I was all excited until the turbo came in and I noticed I had a flat spot just as the turbo kickes in, after a bit of playing I have now realised that this flat spot is actually the clutch just starting to slip at the point of peak torque. I can't believe the clutch is already slipping again after only 5,000 miles. I do not know if it will be OK on the rolling road, we will just have to wait and see I suppose

Colin with the Scooby that is off the road more than it's on it.

Colin,

Sorry to hear of your continuing problems, looks as if you might have to take the gearbox out again ! Still you haven't had to do this for a couple of weeks have you!

One of my inconsiderate mates has decided that his annual birthday will again be on the 8th of Feb and neglected to tell me what sort of mate is that

Paul - Will have to give my space up if that ok I will be going on an all dayer instead, if that helps

Going to PE this Friday to sort out a little problem, so might ask nicely then....

Jen,

Don't worry Jen - Lee has to concentrate on keeping the front going in the right direction to be ANY sort of threat to anyone !!

Just got back from having the scooby set up at Power Station....my god it feels much much better. Ive now just got to tell Mark that I want to spend £1500 on a couple of extras !! Got to pick the right moment.....

Ps: I told Chris I'll try his solution with my laptop but if I screw it up he would have to come round and bail me out so let me know when you need another 'puppy fix' !!

Rach, £1500 on extras, what you bought ? or is it a secret.

Jen / Chris your Scooby might not have the lowest BHP if my clutch keeps slipping, but we all know who the Daddy is.

I'm stuck in Milton Keynes again on another training course for 3 days, it feels like I was only here 2 weeks ago, thats because i was. I went to the Snow Dome tonight to try and have a snowboarding lesson but the soonest they could fit me in was 6 weeks time.

No problem Mark. You could always come up to PE and get back to B'mouth before 12
The clio v6 shouldn't be a problem but I know they like to do one make.I will check with Merv.
Is Colin lulling us into a false sense of security?

Paul.

PS With the clio that is know 21. 4 more to go.

Paul I wish I was joking but I'm PI55ED OFF, £750 on a gearbox rebuild twice ( luckily the second time under warranty ), £50 on Castrol Syntrax gearbox oil twice, £400+ clutch N4CKERD in less than 5,000 miles and to add insult to injury I have got to tax 3 cars at the end of the month.

Just seen Steve M results from Well Lane at the weekend 389 BHP and 320 lbft, respect, it looks like after all his hard work / money he is finaly getting the results he deserves. I look forward to seeing it in the flesh and hopefully it will motivate me to carry out the mods I had planned. Can I change my prediction, I will bev happy to get within 100 BHP of him now.

Colin...blimey! That sounds expensive - still, we know yours is the Daddy but at least I get to drive mine (only joking mate...that's awful )

Rach - Oooo, £1500? What do you want?! Think how many puppies you could have for £1500!!

Oh dear Colin that is sh*t luck.

It looks like Len is aiming for the second place trophy behind Steve, having said that Steve has also got a slipping clutch, it must be catching.

Come on Len what mods have you had done and how many of us if any are going to break the 300 BHP barrier ?

Colin, off to find a 100 shot of nos

Jen,

Why would we possibly want any more puppies? These two are doing a VERY good job of wrecking the house all on their own !!
Also, could you please let Chris know that I followed his instructions but it won't let me change the com number - think I will have to spend the £30.

Colin, Can't tell you about the mods yet as I've not been brave enough to tell Mark .....and some wood work in the house may have to come first due to our new 'decoraters'.

I've just got back from Birmingham where it is very white (and cold) - we've just gone out now to grit as it is going to be -5 by 1600 hours tonite - but the point is.....this scoobie thing is great in the snow. Our astra pool cars were no where near as much fun - can't think why

Rach

Ps: Paul, is it ok to bring the Clio next week??

I'll let him know Rach - oh well, try and get a discount though!!

Mm, scoobies in the snow - it was a blizzard here this morning, then the sun came out and made most of it disappear Not impressed as I was deparate to try some nice slides...even less impressed as I had put out some speed counters in Chandlers Ford...by the end of it my hands were purple and I couldn't feel my face! Feckin' wind!

Hi Chris.I will add you to list with Shanne. There will be a few of us there quite early so if you dont want to be waiting around turn up anytime before 2.
Rach,I will try to talk to Merv tomorrow but work is very hectic at the moment.

So Len a few sneaky mods being done? I am sure I will keep "pace" with you, if you know what I mean.

The list is now 23(including the Clio) so we are nearly there.

I will post meeting details when I have decided the time

Paul.

Jen / Chris,

Spoke to Blackspot Interactive (RoadAngel) today and they are sending me a stand alone modem today free of charge while they try to figure out why the software is giving me problems on my laptop. Hopefully they will work it out within a couple of weeks and if not I can keep the modem for free. All in all very good service I thought !! The guy I spoke to said that he was unaware of any other problems with laptops but would look into it.

Chris thanks for all you help and advice.

Ohh and the puppies barked HELLO !
