Brav: no mail received!

Faster: it's merely a routine and a case of the person looking at their eating routine!

10 minutes per day. Within 4 months you'll see such a difference.

My stomach's like a cobbled street!

LOL!

No real diet - that's what the intermittent boys use. Cut out the **** (McD's etc), don't eat dairy produce (mayo 98% fat, cheese 30-40% lard), and eat carbs mid-day.

It works for me and my training partners. There's never a simple plan for geting fit - diets are a waste of time. Lifestyle needs to be changed.

no mcD's Ok, there's my first stumbling block

Here's what I eat...
  • 9ish two slices of toast, with margerine
  • 10ish bag of crisps
  • 12ish two ham butties, bag of crisps snack size mars bar or similar
  • 6ish whatever dad has made for tea

Is that any good? I have been trying to avoid eating of an evening and have actually been avoiding mcD's even if it is more for financial reasons

Quite simple.

300 sit ups on an incline with a 15kg weight on my chest.

Then twists with a 30kg dumb bell.

But don't do it every day as you'll only burn off muscle. 5 times a week is plenty!

Hard to explain the other stuff. But to get a toned stomach you need to shift the fat from it 1st - I recommend circuit training and lots of patience!

Anaerobic excercise will burn off the fat, but less stressful, more moderate excercise is best for burning off the lard. Anaerobic gets you fit but will take longer to shift the bulk.

Doing stuff that keeps your heart rate at about 65%-75% capacity is the optimum for fat burning.

To calculate your optimum rate subtract your age from 220 and this will give you your 100% rate.

Mine is 220-29

100%=191bpm

70%=155ish bpm.

I personally wouldn't use any type of 'wonder' drug because there's no quick fix. It's a lifestyle thing.

my full on 6 came out when i played rugby it was the gym during the day with mates 3-4times a week.

Rugby training twice a week + 3mile run twice a week.
game once a week.

basically loads of running and weights paid off for me.

fatherp

is it also true that training first thing is more effective than at any other time during the day?

Cheers

I've no idea!

I train between 12 and 1 every day and then do weights in the evening if I've any energy left!

Disagree, rugby training was 6:30-9 and them 2:30 hours i worked my **** off to keep my place. Alot harder then when i went to the gym during the day.

I understood that training just after you wake up burnt off more fat. Something to do with the body being low on food, so it hits the fat for energy to burn...

Downside is dragging your tired *** out of bed at 6 or 7am

Right, quick male Scoobynetter healthcheck.

Simple survey - scale of 0 to 10, with;

10 = a six pack Carlsberg would be proud of. Not an ounce of fat in sight, all the girlies look twice at the beach, tip top shape.

5 = "i'm sure there's something there, but only if i contort myself in a rather strange way in front of the mirror, preferably in subdued lighting".

0 = well, you make up your own definition.

And just in case;

-5 = "i have NEVER seen my stomach muscles".

And all numbers in between being, well, in between.

I'll start the ball rolling. After a damn good curry, a 6 or 7, the morning after usually an 8.

Do we have any honourary 0's or 10's?
