STI V - best ever (@ steady 80mph motorway) 26mpg.

Average whilst excercising the horses now and again, 21mpg.

Trackday? 1/4 tank in 10 mins!

Remember that life is too short for a Diesel car and tales of your mpg conquests 'down the pub'! Yawn!

Last few tankfuls with normal unleaded have been circa 27mpg for mixed but mainly motorway miles.Occasional blast to clear out the lungs and scare the cossies.Lowest has been 24mpg and Optimax seemed to make no difference so went back to normal fuel after got fed up collecting the car cards and the high prices.

I have a MY01 WRX PPP saloon with about 15,000 miles.

MY02:

Best = 31, motorway steady at 75 and slow A roads in traffic doing steady 45

Worse = 20 Commuting to work in rush hour

However when out for a blast on a Sunday morning I have seen the needle on the gauge move quite rapidly ! and I would estimate low teens in these circumstances

My "average" is 27, exactly the same as my previous MY99

Best 22, worst 18, usually just over 20mpg. I have a heavy right foot.

Why are Subarus so ****e on fuel consumption? I had a 200bhp Rover Coupe Turbo before my Scoob and averaged about 27/28mpg driving the same as I do now. Occasionally got 33/34mpg on long motorway runs.

I think that scoobies are generally **** on fuel, as the cars map overfuels all the time. After I had my Tek 2.5, I noticed both the power gains, but more importantly the fuel savings and the engines smoothness
