WELL LANE 3
#31
Hi Rich, hope you and fam are ok.
Put Terzo down for a run, I'd like to see if I can at least come in the top ten this time (11th) last run out.
Any chance of Japanese Performance or Banzai doing the biz?

LOL!!
naaa, leaving it at 1.5bar this time, should be running better though as no octane booster after the last episode.
Only mods done been a re-positioning of the battery and airfilter, bringing the latter closer to the front of the car, with a huge ****-off heat shield behind it to stop it drawing hot air from the engine.Ran more cold air feed pipes up from the front of the car too, though on the RR i doubt they`ll make much difference They much work though, as i`ve now got fly`s spatted against the side of the heatshield they`ve shot up the pipes that fast ...hehe

Bait - all old news now..... I'm not scared.........
you were running about 4 degrees more advance.... (now I'm over your old amount - cut off point is obviously more than you think - sneaky little you!)-I had a few other probs.. lets face it unless you have a 2.2 stroker or 2.5 new engine we are not going to see a 31bhp difference this time... I'm more worried about RichiW
My car will not be running much different..... need to get the water injection working, which may actually lower the bhp, as I cant really raise the advance much more....
Who knows what I or you will get with fairly similar specced cars -will be interesting.
I need to sort a couple of things out which I may not have done by the time, I've been in the States the last 6 weeks........ and have another few to go.......

Steve,
since I last ran I have made a few changes and the car is significantly quicker on the road - not sure if this is subjective or will improve the top end power
We will have to wait and see
Glad your car is sorted now.
Trout
PS I added an additional 3 degress and the power went down by 10bhp - need to try harder

I added (well not me..) several degrees and got a fair bit more, and felt it on the road.......
Theres not much more you can do - except raise boost, which is not good on standard internals
Just hope I'm not in the States - I hate the place - the cars are terrible - crappy Corvettes. I've seen a few 218ps cars - but the petrol is such poor quality over here I dont know how they cope...
I drove a dodge viper the other day, good in a straight line, poor on bends. The police are everywhere anyway with the laser guns - you do 10mph over the limit and they are on to you - I think we have it quite good in the UK compared to most States over here!

Yes, I thought that too about the Vipers....slow as,
but then I thought, well, huge car, 8 litre engine must be knockin' on 1700kgs, but then I looked in Evo Magazine and they are 1290kgs!!!! That's less than a New Age Sub!!
With 460hp and 500lbsft (Viper GTS-R) you'd expect more.
And that's fine with me Trout, if Steve's not here you can run as his alternate, although you are fairly high up the reserves, so you may get a run anyway.
Cheers
Rich

Yeah not everyone turns up.... reserves, usually... get a run
(once the big boys have been on..........)
Dodge - the big liter cars are very inefficient, but then I'm not surprised with the fuel quality. I've had so many rental vehicles that borrowing a work Colleagues Dodge felt a lot better, big things and more outrageous looking than the TVR equivalents
I would'nt buy one - waiting for the 280bhp Mitsubishi to come out in the States, which is supposed to be imminent - dont think Subaru have any similar plans
Just think - I may have a Scooby and still looking out for a decent Skyline in the UK and a Mitsubishi in the States - I'm not greedy.. (I also have a Civic Type R for the girly to play with - its crap!) and my company Audi turbo - dont think I care much for cars!

No, Sorry Hanley, you don't need to let us know if you're spectating, just turn up, all welcome.
Rich,
I'll pop John on the list ASAP
Yoza, It's easy m8, J27 M62, come off, slip road splits, take left fork, then right the way round the roundabout as far as you can go, to next roundabout, straight on, at 3rd set of lights turn left (second set has a car sales place on the left) follow this road for about 2 miles until u see a petrol station on the left, immediately after this on the reight is a pub called the Talbot, turn right up the side of this and that's Well Lane.
C U all there.
Cheers
