What is this 6 port boost solenoid, and what does it do?? What sort of boost are you runing Harvey, coz that is a bloody impressive result. Is it still a 2.0??
My car made 410bhp, last car to run, but it wasnt me sub, it was me old 79 granada . Should have made more, but it was spinning the wheels on the rollers. I have also noticed after the runs, viewing the datalogs, that the operator was only using part throttle everytime??? Whats that all about??? The max throttle he used was about 70% which ended up with the car running in part of the map I havent really looked at yet, and it ended up running really rich.
Would liked to have seen more cars run, but we got there really late, only coming, because Elvington was cancelled.

Another BIG thanks to Rich for organising 'WELL LANE 3'.
Excellent turnout despite the weather and great to see the 'Big Hitters' and the master of them all, Sir Harvey!
I hope no-one was involved in the M62 westbound pile-up, we had some serious dodging to do to avoid joining in. Last I heard was a 3:30pm when traffic was standing for 6 miles!
Here's to Well Lane 4!
Steve. (P1 - 297 bhp & still looking for 3 more!)

Big well done to David, very impressed!!
Harvey well done, but big amounts of turbo, but then again it is massive!!!

Finally, big thanks to Rich for organising it, and well done for getting your brothers car over 300bhp.

Fantastic results from Harvey, Alan, Steve and David...
...personally went for the 'insurance' result, but car will hopefully fulfill it's expectations next time
Trout
PS Misfiring seems to be fixed now - but you never know - we have been here before

First of all......Well done Rich for getting your brothers car to 300+bhp!! It looked great doing it!
Also I was amazed by Harveys car.......it seemed so tame and then all hell broke loose!!
David....I have to say I was very impressed by your car. I consider myself a young pup learning from the older, wiser scoob people out there but you showed that with a self confidence and substancial knowladge in the principles involved in turbo engine tuning that you can get some big bhp! from a UK turbo engine!! fantastic effort and worth a few beers in Leeds if Nick can ever get it sorted
PS I cant spell and I've been drinking

Thanks Rich for another very well organised RR session, top job as always!
Left early so never saw Harveys car running, but certainly sounds like a dam fine result, esp. for a Subaru Which also leads me onto Nicks car, fine job done Rich!
Nice pics BuRR, try to keep off the funny pills next time though, some of those angles look alittle ...err... different??
Cheers,
Rich

Ill post my graph later, but Im hoping to go past the 345bhp I got... Think I had the best torque figure of the day (out of impreza's) about 340lbft at 4500...
Shame I blew an exhaust gasket out on the way... Big thanks to my friends to going to pick a new one up from my house, that I didnt bother to fit so had to do it at well lane.
And thanks to well lane for use of the pit.. Not to mention Rich..
Put me down for the next... asap.. so I can hit 400.

Marvellous results - anyone care to post a league table?
Really nice putting faces to names, even the chap who said, "oh hell, a mod, I'm not speaking to you "
It was great to meet so many people who know a hell of a lot about what they're talking about! Brilliant, just brilliant. I think I understood about 1 word in 4...
Cheers Rich, superb event, and thanks to well lane too.

Yup, put me down too.
Good to catch up with old faces and finally meet those spoken to before but never met.
Yer a right friendly bunch down there and the effort to drive south for 4 hours was well worth it. Pity I couldn't stay longer but maybe make a weekend of it next time if the usual crowd is up for it.
P20SPD..Steven.. very very close. I looked at your spec on the way down and seemed the one to watch against my own, so I must be doing something right since there's nothing between them.
Next time though...
Alan

We will see Alan
I am still in the infancy of the car being mapped. It was only done the Saturday before, and their is certainly room for improvement.
See you next time.

As ever, a top day well organised, and very enjoyable... Well done with Nick' car, a great performance again, seems you don't want to be part of the 200 club
To everyone else,
I think there were some excellent results yesterday. I was lucking for consistency on my standard STi7 with previous results at Well Lane and I think I got it, 273bhp/252lbs, compared with 278bhp/253lbs before. A different day, different fuel (Super Unleaded this time!!) and an ITG panel filter...
Next time, PPP will be on the car, so defo want to be involved in this one.... Judging by the amount of 'Put me down for the next one' comments, I must be nearly on the reserves list.
Oh, and Harvey, very well done. You ensured that I personally saw the only Scooby I have ever seen break the 400 barrier, and boy it looked good..
See you all again next time...
Simon

I'll be there. Well worth the effort.
Gotta try and get some other Scots guys down for next time as well, make a weekend out of it.
Trout
Hope you get the car all sorted but after numerous text messages last night from folks, there will be another contender.... suffice to say, there will appear to be plenty money about to be thrown about.. (Not difficult if you have a think...)
Harvey's car threw the bait...
Alan
P.S. Liked the alloy water injection tank BTW. Is that a one off? or did a company supply it? Looks neater than mine.

Yep, make a weekend of it - loads to do around here
Simon, great to see that your STI is a good "yard arm" to know that the RR isn't too optimistic/pessimistic and is producing replicable results.
I think there's plenty left in Steve's car yet, plus if David's boost control gets sorted...
Remembered why I avoid mcDonalds normally - that big mac made its presence felt for a full 12 hours

Harvey's run is turning into one of those "where were you when..." moments.
I'll be able to tell my kids that I was standing a few feet from the front nearside wheel trying to see the result through a sea of heads and a chorus of "did that say four 'undred and summat ?!?!?"
BuRR, fancy claiming you were cold and rushing off home, just to get the first pictures online... Hopefully I'll have finished sorting through mine and post some this evening.
Rich, excellent organisation, put me down to bring my camera back to Well Lane 4
Regards
Dox.

Thanks Simon and everyone else for the compliments.
Alan: Yes we can make a wek-end out of it. Andy coming? Staying Darlington?
There is still more to come out of this motor so I will be back in the garage tonight.
Cheers everybody and a big thankyou to Richard for taking all the hassle of organising it on board.
