Genuine Women !
Sorry Paul but I married the only Genuine Woman in existance!!!
Seriously.... I met my wife and most of my ex-girlfriends either at work or at pub/clubs.
The pub/club relationships never worked for long, the work relationships were better and where I met my wife.
Although you work on your own, all is not lost.. you need to go to all the Scooby meets and join a gym perhaps... somewhere that you have a reason to talk to someone usually works, in a pub or club you are going on appearances only and 9 times out of 10 you find they nothing like you expected or want.
I am sure the right woman will come along, usually when you least expect it. Like in the supermarket..
My sister managed to find her current b/f at a single agency.. although I did try not to laugh when I found out but it appears to have worked for them as they have been together a couple of years and living together for over a year now..

The easiest way to get girls is to Rice up a Nova by putting Subaru scoop and vents on it. A 22B spoiler should just barely fit on the roof of it. Then take you Nova to the local cruise scene or in front of a school and you'll have swarms of 15-16 year old girls after you...
Best still about this idea is that you don't need to lower your car as the weight of the bodykit itself would drop the Nova's suspension by 50 mm...

Have to agree with Fulham: Gym regular, go out (quite a lot), race sailing boats, own scooby, have even been told I'm 'cute'
by persons on this board, however, not a nibble.. or more to the point, I can hardly recall the last time I met someone who caught my attention for more than 5 mins.
I guess my interests are not shared by many girlies, but there's little point in going (say) to a needlework club - I'd not really be interested!
Fortunately I'm not too bothered, though there are odd moments when you wonder if you're going to spend your entire life single
Must be working in IT that does it

Hey i drive a nova (nothing like that i hasten to add and im deciding between a scooby/evo V soon to accompany it in the garage) - and even i find that funny.
Plenty of genuine girls at your local maccys drive thru- genuinely intersted in your neon washer jets and baseball cap that is.....

On a serious note- genuine+women....erm...dunno if those two should be in the same sentence really...
Im sure they are out there -(thought i had found one but she turned out to be a super snakey example) but havent found any yet....

As a girlie I find saying I work in IT in a techie role has the opposite effect. Blokes are interested, want to know how I got into it and stuff. Seems that being a girl geek isn't a problem.
edited to put girl not gril!

Geek girls are cool. And I'm NOT saying that so SGD don't beat me up
Coming from my point of view, finding a partner is hard, very hard. but, you never know where or when someone will pop up.
Obvisouly shared interests are good, so scooby meets would be a good place, there are, as discussed in a previous thread, some happy couples that have got together through SN, which is great.
Trust me mate, you will find someone. When? Where? that I can't tell you. Just don't worry about it, and it'll be fine.
Listen to the shark, he knows what he's saying

Sensible reply
As sad as it may sound Internet dating agencies are really worth a shot.
Somebody in my office who isn't sad, is very outgoing, attractive, stable etc couldn't find the right person within their circle of friends/lifestyle. They tried an few Internet dating agencies and actually found the love of their life. They are both over 30 and great people. I'm going to the wedding next month.
Ok there were some really wierd people on some sites, but if you think about it this way "I'm not sad and I'm doing it therefore other people doing won't sad either"
Mark
PS met my girlfriend in a takeaway curry house, very romantic

Fulham71,
I've got a single mate, she's 29 or 30, nice looking, fit (in a sporty way) and slim and earns enough not to blag off you. I used to share a flat with her, I confirm all her psycho tendancies have now gone. Only problem is she's in Glasgow and is a bit of a metalhead.
