Wheres the best place to meet genuine women these days !
I havent been single for ages & am struggling !
I know through mates is the best place but i have looked at this option & nothing stands out !
You help would be appreciated !

Thats going to be a struggle. Like you said, friends are the best source, my last g/f was met in a decent pub, but that was one decent one out of lots of non genuine ones that I went through, er, and actually she turned out to be a bit of a slapper, so not pubs then perhaps

Maybe take up a hobby or sporting activity where either you'll meet girls that do it too, or by doing it you'll get into a different group of people that will then introduce you to girls they know, so you meet them by association (this is good, cause if you happen to be a cool bloke, they'll build you up to their girlie mates, and they'll wanna meet you)

Im seeing a girl that used to work at my work, she's very genuine, so that another way to do it, but not sure if you'd wanna be working with them for any length of time, cause that could be awkward.

Alternatively, be a slapper, and enjoy yourself now you have some single time. Forget about looking for genuine ones, meet a few, and at some point a keeper will come along...probably.

Scooby meets has got to be a good place to start they have to be pretty well off to run a scooby right? if its theirs of course Thats a good starting point in my book Plus theres a common interest to talk about straight away, bonus

 

Depends on your age I guess.. if you're in your 18 or so, you may find someone nice.

But by the time you're 30, they're so mentally f/ucked up (umpteen relationships, divorces, children) many are more trouble than they're worth.

Paul, don't lose heart, just enjoy beign single!!!! A guy who looks as if he is out on a good time rather than trying to pull is much more like to attract the sharking female population

The best way to meet the perfect partner is to just go out and do the things you enjoy doing. That way you meet someone who enjoys the same things I assume you do go out

I do go out
But i like to play golf, five a side football & squash as well as using the gym ! None of these really attract the opposite sex !
I do also go to the pub but im a shy kind of guy !

Maybe we need a forum for Friends who are single genuine & looking ! Maybe split into areas !
All scooby netters and their partners must have friends who are single but dont want to be !

my current gf used to be a temp at where i work, didnt really talk to her for the 6 months she was here but then met her again at someone elses leaving do about a month after she left and all is now going well thank god it felt like id been single ages in fact it was all of about 3 weeks but still. Clubs and bars are very bad if you want to meet someone you might want to try make it work with, where as dinner parties and private parties tend to be good but hobbies are good ways e.g. horse riding at least then you have something you both like and have a mutual talking point.

Just dont tell them your in IT if you are just gets met by a blank look and them thinking argh geek (or is that just me)

Sounds like you're pretty active. Always an attractive quality. Maybe try another gym or sports club. Squash is a very interactive game, get involved in tournaments Gyms can be a great place too, maybe you're just going to the wrong ones ?

Paul, I know where you're coming from mate, and know how you feel. Can't really give much advice over what I've said before.

Oh and take LMW up on her sharking techniques, she's the original shark, though I'd have to say I'm better

 

Go and do something that you've wanted to do for a while, something that you'll enjoy, and that gets you out with other people who have the same interest, and then you'll give yourself more of an oppurtunity to meet genuine girls.

Anything goes, there are loads of clubs etc that arent too speccie, like try dirt biking, or something with water, like windsurfing, or try loads of different things, but try and get yourself into a position where you are enjoying things by yourself or with mates, and be in a position where a girl is a want, not a need, or you'll be constantly looking with needy eyes, and thats when you have the hardest time finding.

I turn 30 this year, and I havent settled at all to date, been through the mill in a big way, and had to make 2 starts from scratch on account of the wrong girls, but 31 aint old, so have some fun, thats what its all about, having a nice girl to enjoy it with is great, but its not everything, so just concentrate on yourself until you feel youre happyily single.
Not easy, specially with the "norms" and constraints of society, like you should have met and married the right one by now, have a mortgage, and settled down in your favorite f*cking TV chair, etc etc etc, those people think life is a story tale, ignore the sh*t and have some fun.
