Genuine Women !
It's not easy finding someone, trust me on that point. However, all I can say is that someone will appear, and when you least expect it. it just takes time.
For a while, and to a certain extent now, I enjoyed my freedom, being able to do what I wanted, when I wanted and with whom I wanted. However, there was this nagging feeling at the back of my mind that something was missing.
Think you all know what that something was, yup, you guessed, a partner.
I know I have this larger than life persona, prob not helped by living up to the shark reputation
but I am really just an ordinary retiring chap, who just wants someone to spend his time with. just like the rest of us.
It's finding them that is hard!
Chaps, there are partners out there for all of us, don't EVER lose sight of that. No matter how low you feel. Do not think you'll be alone forever, if you think that, then you will. Nothing will put a girl off more than some chap who's moping around saying they are going to be single forever.
The other thing I'd say is, take some risks. If you like someone then talk to them, maybe ask them to go out for a drink. Don't expect the earth and you'll not be so knocked back if things do happen, but who knows! If you always think nothing will come of it, well, nothing will!
As to where to look for a partner? well, as we're on here, scooby meets, as has been mentioned. But where else? well, pubs, clubs, the usual places. However, this is the 21st century, so why not try internet dating. I know, I know, sounds 'sad' and you might thing 'only real losers' use it. but it's not true. I'm on a few ID sites, and we're talking good ones here, not some really skanky ones. Ok, you might have to pay, but that usually deters the servere werdios. But still be a little careful. Have I had a date from the ID sites? nope, but then I've only been on them for about a month, so I'm not expecting anything that quickly, and this is coming from a VERY impatient chap who would like a partner NOW!
Love comes in many forms, and from many places, usually the most unexpected!
Think I've waffled on enough for the moment.

Do they do any classes? Spinning, circuits, kick boxing etc etc.
Find one that you like and go every week. Once you are a regular face, you start to talking to other folks whilst waiting. I've got to know quite a few of the folks in my spinning class.
Patience is the key IMO.

Check the timetable, our gym (Greens) does a shorter beginner class of 30 minutes for newbies.
First time I did spinning I could hardly breath for half an hour. Been going just about every week for a year or more now, so recovery time is pretty quick. The instructor should stress it's a go at you own pace session though, you ain't there to cripple yourself.
Sorry to go off topic there.
