I think for anyone to be able to make any judgements on anyone elses driving they have to ask themselves one thing: Have they EVER at ANY point in their driving history done ANYTHING REMOTELY kn0b like????

I also resent that fact that there are some people who look down there noses at people who don't earn much money. I am 23 and have had a scoob for 1 year now. I wanted one ever since I can remember, but I have never been able to afford one until last year, when the prices took a dive. Have I ever worked on a building site? Yes, once or twice. Have I ever lived on a council estate? It might as well be.... Have I ever driven my scoob like a kn0b, OF COURSE. Its hard not to sometimes. Does that give other people the right to slag people like me off. NO.

Just read the whole thread rather than jumping on Chris' comment (!)...

Reminds me of my mate's dad (the ultimate in jerks) who was sounding off one dinner time about young drivers. His line of argument proceeded along to the conclusion that the police would be better to concentrate on breath-testing young drivers, they were more likely to be drunk, and that those over 40 shouldn't be breathalysed.

I was [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img] all at the same time... This was when I was 16 and heavily into cycletouring. So it's bad to have young pissed drivers but OK to have pissed old fogies? Well, I'll feel so much better when I'm run down by one, at least he wasn't young.

My observation about age above still stands though . I took some sort of MasterDrive thing with Privilege, took 10% off my Scoob premium, could be worth it if they're still doing it. I would still like to see a cost assessment for retesting people every five - ten years. Bureaucracy would be massive, but how much money would it save in reduced accidents?

What about the stupid woman behind me on the M4 2 nights ago. She sat right on my tail. She took both hands off the wheel and started swaying from side to side in her seat and clapping! Also she wasn't wearing a seatbelt which really pisses me off having seen plenty of patients who have been ejected through the windscreen.

Needlesss to say I pulled over as soon as I could and let her go past. Why be part of someone else's accident?

 

I think retesting is the only way we can cut down on the number of bad drivers on the road (short of reintroducing the death penalty! ) and I'd happily retake my test tomorrow. Trouble is it costs money and no government is going to introduce it at the risk of becoming unpopular and losing power... Would help reduce the congestion on Britain's roads though...

 

Deano's right, what difference does the value of the car make....good example this week - brand new 911 Turbo (worth about 100 grand) all over the back of every car unfortunate enough to get in his way and we're talking about serious motorway speeds here. Crazy fool!!

OMG I am sure gareth60 was just being ironic/sarcastic or whatever, following sebastian's comment linking thugs and council estates. I thought it was a pretty funny comment actually, it just showed how daft that p.o.v really is!

 

what is wrong with ;rough looking people ; looking at scoobs . if car dealers took more time with those people they would sell a lot more cars. the colour of the money is the same as someone who "dress up" to look at cars.
