This war didn't start this year, it started in 2014 when Russia invaded the Donbass regions and annexed Crimea! Invading a sovereign country seizing land. There was no breakaway rebellion in 2014 and there was no Azov brigades just Russian and Ukrainian speaking Ukranians living peacefully side by side! Does Ukraine not have the right to defend and reclaim the territory seized by Russia! If they had done nothing, then the Russian forces would have just captured more land in the region. The deaths of the 14,000 people who have died last in the hands of Russia who invaded in the first place, not Ukraine for defending is borders!

Trust me, Russia are not the innocent party here defending Russian speakers as you make out! This is purely a land/resources grab just like they did in Georgia and similar to the repression in Chechnya, and about control of neighbouring regions, with Putin longing to reinstate the power of the USSR.
