It can effectively be mounted anywhere that you have space, the only proviso is that it needs to be mounted higher than the oil drain port in the engine, which in this case is where the crank case breather vent is on the block. You can actually buy an oil drain pipe that screws into the oil drain plug from RCM which will give you further options if you are struggling to mount it high enough to use the crank case vent location. The biggest headache with these is that they are designed for the US market and LHD cars, so they are often designed to mount where our brake master cylinder is, so you have to be a little creative about where you mount it when you still have a TMIC.

Not really an update but had an opportunity to have some photos with a friends R35 GTR over the weekend which came out quite nice, so thought I’d upload a few.

This one has been painted and to be fair they did a really good job. It has a rare full carbon wide body kit (1 of 2 I believe) and does look good in the flesh. It’s over 650bhp too, so had that go to match the show.

Picked up a couple more additions for the car in the shape of 2 x Corbeau race seats with sliding frames, and a pink box Exedy clutch as mine is starting to slip in the higher gears due to the extra power and torque. I have also ordered a lightweight flywheel from RCM, just waiting for this to turn up and then the clutch will be fitted.

I managed to find someone selling the clutch brand new on eBay for £380 and the flywheel
is £330 from RCM. Pretty reasonable in my eyes.
Here’s the link for the clutch:

as much as I’d love 1000bhp, I don’t think my pockets will ever be that deep! But I will be starting a more detailed project thread soon .

lol so only a turbo and remap away
The cost is one of the many things that put me off going rotated. You get to a point where it goes from ££££s per BHP to ££££££££££££££££££££££££s per BHP. I still want more power lol.
Other than turbo its up pipe and downpipe that get changed but cost seems so much for them items. There was a guy on scoobynet who welded his own. If you know how to weld might keep costs down a bit.

Just a small update - did a bit of winter maintenance this weekend by removing all four wheels and cleaning inside the arches, gave me an opportunity to clean and check condition of the brakes, coilover threads, cv boots, bushes etc. Happy to say everything was good .

I think I see a bit of rust there. Yeah just there if you zoom in, zoom in a bit further, no you almost got it.
I'm messing with ya. Looks really clean
