I love my Skoda!

Not sure really how much I pay. About £200 a month fuel
A bit of guesswork but from your estimate £200. I work it to be 1100-1500 miles per month. I approximately spend £30 for similar mileage.

You see that you are well on the way to covering the vast majority of repayment or god forbid lease plan
Then there is much less servicing costs

There are 30 models available to check out

According to the IET, most distribution network operators (DNO) state that the cabling used for street lighting and furniture is already at its maximum capacity. Combine that issue within well established areas where there is no off street parking - usually terraced housing the cabling could be well over 50years old!

As such you’ll be lucky to get 16amps on every other post - that ain’t gonna fast charge your Tesla!

Living in a urban terraced street usually means broken door mirrors after a friday night is a regular occurrence as well as kids nicking your valve caps...now it’ll be disconnecting or nicking the charge cable!

Coz, they have locking mechanism on the connectors to stop unauthorised removal. The car has to shut down the charging in sequence before releasing the connector.

Only dumbass haters would even consider such a stupid move.

Plenty of them in the UK!

I wasn't aware there was a locking mechanism! How robust is it? Is it the same standard on all cars?

It’s bit like going to Earl’s court boat show isn’t it , to pick out your fabrics for your posh new motorboat

Most the people on those roads probably don’t even own car , so charging point ( overnight ) every 100 feet isn’t liable to inconvenience anyone , but it will fascinate the l rest the country’s electric dreamers to look on

Tesla and Nissan lock the connection, I presume all others do. We are talking lots of current even for the smallest EVs.
