Its a strange one i had a lightened fly wheel on there before going rotated and it wasnt bouncing, i just think the extra power has tipped the gearbox over the edge 180k the first 100k in kilometer s

Any hoo ive had a couple of leeks on the w/m system with the push fit fittings so ive managed to fix them today and cleaned the nozzle and re ptfe d the threade fittings the proper way

Evidence of the w/m staining the ali inlet

Thread roughed up to make the ptfe stick to it otherwise the ptfe just runs up the thread and its metal on metal

Properly taped thread.... Ptfe tape can be split down the middle for shorter threads

Just refurbed my calipers, i wasnt sure about the coulour at first, not a five minute job. I can see why Brake Caliper Services charge over £ 400 to this job.

Well done mate!
I payed over £500 to have mine "professionally " refurbished and within 500 miles they badly faded, but as the car was off the road most of that year the 1 year guarantee was over !
Everytime I look at them it pisses me off!!

They look fantastic Will! You should consider offering your services to SN users, your work is a lot better work than many "professional" places!

Cheers Fivos, alas i dont think i could make money from it, it took soo long to prepare these calipers to a standard that i would want for fellow friends and Scooby netters that it wouldnt be financially viable plus making all the plugs to stop paint getting in the threads and old brake fluid getting on the job and ruining it.

I made 20 of these plugs and their tiny and fidly to make plus you have scratch up the threads to make the ptfe stick to them otherwise it slides right off, ptfe quite slippery and then you have to cut a notch in the top so you can screw em in and unscew em. One of them that made i didnt cut the notch deep enough and it took me ages to get it out, i thought i might have to drill it.
Edit : ive made these plugs and i had to de-bur each and every one if you zoom in on this plug you will see, very time consuming plus my fingers are 5mm shorter

No is 2k paint, but 2k is resistant to the temperature that my calipers will get up to.
Think black bonnet on a sunny day.
