I have some good cleaning products for the summer, and going to give a claybar a go also

I am fitting Pagid pads for the time being, see how I get on with them, at present they have Brembo front brake discs, with Ferodo DS2500 pads, but the braking is really bad, as if nothing is there, feels unsafe, going to see what condition the DS2500's are in, as they are supposed to be good pads, they were fitted in Feb 2018

Yeah I've heard mixed things about DS2500, some people rave about them others say they are terrible. Want to use a fallout remover and a Tar/Rubber remover before using a clay bar for the last step if you've never used one before. Don't want to be dragging contaminants across the paint!
