Looks the same as the one that turns up in the mechanics opposite me every year for its trip out the garage and a service.
That one certainly isn't standard either, he has a few fast cars come in, a 600bhp Nissan GTR is a real monster, but he says that escort cosworth scares the crap out of him every time he road tests.

I have been bad at updating this recently, mainly because the car has been at Engine Tuner since April.
Originally the car went in to have a re-build as a byproduct of impending head gasket failure, however once Alan and the team started stripping her down it turned out she was already forged!!!!
Oh I said, massively confused?
From what they could tell the rebuild was not done particularly well, drop in pistons and everything was massively over torqued including the RCM head gasket hence the leak.
After consulting with Alan we decided to go ahead with a full rebuild and get her up to the right standard.
This included:
New Mahle pistons
Closed deck plate
ACL bearings
RCM head gaskets
ARP headstuds - from original build
Williams Racing rods – from original build
Secondary air pump delete
New water pump
RCM belt kit
I also added
RCM timing belt guide
RCM fuel pump
3-port boost solenoid
Competition stage 2 clutch
Goodridge braided hoses
Picking up the car
Out with the old
Closed deck plate
Now I am currently in the process of running her in, I have another 100 miles before a mineral oil change.

this is really said.
It's just chat I keep going on about on the FB group.
People are saying.. buy a forged car.. don't by a standard one.
This just goes to show.... you suspected a HG problem... then find out it was forged anyway... not well done either.
then have to have the previous work all re done.
Just goes to show a 'forged' car ca still have problems!!!
Albeit you don't know it was forged but the person who sold it will have done.
at least you now know it's done properly and you can be happy with it.

Finally! The time has come for me to take the scoob back to ET for Martyn to do the remap. Last oil change was done a week ago so currently running on semi synth with just over 1200 miles done.
However work has happened in the meantime, the old mid-pipe has been replaced with a H&S one, and as you can see it was pretty knackered!
A fresh filter and new intake hose are also being fitted.
I finally also got around to fitting the power steering cooler, which turned out to be quite an easy job
