320bhp is nothing. I was in the petrol station yesterday and the 18 year old behind the counter has a friend with a 1000bhp Impreza.

I just don't entertain them and go 'oh really, that's nice and leave'

Moe,

Get it to the same rollers - not ones that pamper fragile egos

The general replies seem to be that there are in fact loads of 320+bhp cars out there. How about a group buy on bumper stickers :

"My mate has a 320bhp Impreza"

"My other impreza has 320bhp"

"My last impreza only had 320bhp"

"Detuned to 320bhp for safety reasons"

Wink

While we're on the subject, I should mention my lawnmower has 600bhp (or 800 with NOS ), my washing machine 1400bhp (HKS Dump valves you see) and the vortex system on the vacum makes it run at 1500bhp

Detuned for safety! - damn there goes my excuse at the next RR meet!

I too find it amusing that certain tuners claim to have '400bhp' Scoobs - but they never do turn up on the Rollers - cos they have nothing to proove - yeah right! - we all know its bull****, espcially a 2litre at no more than 1.4 bar...... you know who you are

I reckon Craigs would have been the most powerful type 2.2 litre at around 400-420bhp if it had run at 1.8 bar.

I reckon the max I could get on a 2 litre with uprated internals running at 1.8 bar would be about 380-400bhp compared to about 360bhp max on 1.4 bar - is the extra money worth it - Unless you put a stupid sized turbo on and then the cars not driveable!

Adam - Who has 500bhp - Dont you mean soonnnnnnnnnn -

Oh and 'I' did have a 400bhp Cossie....... with a little more than the mods discussed above - but only about an extra £15k more

you boys should get a skyline. we have 320 out of the box :-) Would put a stop to all this.
Seriously I know what you mean. Tonnes of bull**** claims in our club as well.
I had one guy claiming 550 BHP on standard injectors. He had the big turbos, cams etc. But you need fuel mate and lots of it for that!! More like 500 tops.
320 BHP is a lot to get out of a 4 pot engine anyway and it will make it mega quick. I had a pulsar running 300 BHP with forged everthing and 1.2 bar. I have been out in scott davies ex scoob and that felt manic at 330 bhp.
All these claims of 300+ BHP at 1 bar are just crap.
Believe me you are not alone.
Just get the tell tale boys to the rollers and then it will prove all.

NLW 33 - 344 at the wheels. 491 at the fly.
