My old one was cracked quite badly so glad its done.

 

Couple of updates from the weekend.

Fuel pump has now been swapped out ready for the remap, I love the fact that the SWRD ones are plug and play.

 

My airbox hose had started to split so I got creative with a newage impreza Samco one

 

Off to get her remapped tomorrow at Slowboy, cant wait.

Yesterday was great and the result superb.

In the morning Neil added the 3 port solenoid, plugs and Syms sports cat.

That afternoon he road mapped the car and by the time I picked it up at 16:30 and drove it home, its was a completely different car.

She is now running so much better, very smooth, eager and responsive and the power delievery is usable and highly addictive

Would recommend slowboy to anyone with a scoob, really pleased

 

To celebrate I fitted some JDM Beatrush goodness

It's amazing how much difference a good map can make. I was astonished how much better my leggy felt after it spent a day at Zen.

I could only get one second hand and it cost me £125.00

You can probably import one but you will need to take into account shipping and import tax. Nengun or japparts might be a good place to try.

Sadly not. They guy selling decided to keep it as all the BMW's he looked at weren't anywhere near as good as his Forrester, well not anywhere near his budget anyway. So he's holding onto it for now.

Shame as it was a cracking motor for what he was asking, Ive asked for first refusal if he sells so we'll see long term what happens.

 

Thats a shame, fingers crossed one comes along soon.

 

It's deff the car I'm going to step up to from my wagon now I know the Forrester XT prodrive exists. Not right now though I'll wait till end of year, unless that particular one comes on the market again.

 

Another cosmetic update, my weather strips on the door windows were all shot to bits so I replaced them all last week.

Quick update - On Saturday I took her to Surrey Rolling Road to see what power she was making after the remap.

I will post the graphs later but essentially 321 bhp and 350 Ftlbs of torque.

Slightly disappointed with the bhp figure at 1.4 bar of boost when considering the mods in place.

I think that the FSTi looks so much better with them on, its easy to see why so many come over from Japan with them on, in fact when fitting these I could see mark on the rubber trim where they had been fitted on mine previously.

 

Next on my list is to tackle this

 

Little update, Florence is currently at Bell & Colville to have these fitted and alignment done.

 

Really enjoying the thread. I agree about the jdm deflectors. The subaru ones are nicely subtle.

After two days at Bell & Colville I have her back and she is driving so much better, those top mounts have made all the difference.

Now on to shifter and cross member bushes.

 

I have been slack at updating the thread and did promise a while ago to post my dynos from my RR day so here they are.

 

Was hoping for a little more and may well have it tweaked later on in the year.

However now looking at more handling so the list is as follows
