iPhone 8
I replied after I posted here, your cross posting threw me off and talking of throwing I just threw a custard pie in your face. Just because in 2015 MS said 8k was coming doesn't mean it did.
What is your point Tidgy? Honest question, what was the point of your posting on this iPhone thread? I'm yet to see you contribute anything of use to this whole forum section, basically, you're pointless. Now, although you say some very silly things and are pointless you still have nothing on Custard Pie, that thing is full on bonkers, never go full on bonkers.

lol a better idea would be to provide their phones with batteries that can cope. Rather than limiting the performance through the software, which is the worst thing you can do.
To be fair, all Li-Ion batteries degrade overtime and the degredation depends on how it's used, eg, if its constantly charged and left charging nearly all the time, or if exposed regularly to to cold temperatures etc, the battery will degrade quicker. Just wish Apple had been up front about this rather being found out.

as big of an apple critic as i am, the only thing i think they have done wrong in this case is not informing people or given them the option to turn the slow down off on the phones.

Why don't apple offer to replace batteries for say £200 coz we all know that a replacement battery and fitting kit is less than a tenner.
My daughter's iPhone 6+ has a duff battery, this is the third phone we will be changing out the battery. My sons iPhone 7 never lasts a whole day, where my S8+ lasts all day

Because it's not really about the battery contrary to my previous post is it
It's about trying to force people to upgrade to a later handset which aren't throttled (until the next latest handset comes out). Protecting the hardware on older phones, bollocks, marketing geniuses or just carnts, the sensible amongst us will pick the right option.

'Contrary to your previous post' that's unlike you /s
I'd be careful if I was you, having a handset run out of battery after a hour rather than two because it's battery is dying isn't going to make anyone not replace their handset is it?
Most people would just take notice of this warning and do something https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT207453

Careful with your alternative facts and conspiracy theories, trying to help you not look a whacko.
Why is it not really about the battery when it appears that it's all about the battery? As in Throttlegate triggers when the battery degrades. Batteries degrade, you know that.

lol if you can't see the bullsh1t apple are spouting out over this then you are indeed a deluded idiot. Since when does battery degradation affect other hardware components, no other manufacturers are worried about this, its a software throttle to p1ss users off who own older apple devices with the intention to make them upgrade, the end.
