This thread makes me think it's exactly what the government will do, lots of discussion about every aspect then **** all happening from it. More police around Houses of Parliament and Buckingham palace as that's where all the countries population is going to be, oh hang on it's where the politicians are going to be so as long as there safe **** everyone else

Sad times, armed Police outside my local Rugby Team's ground. My wife had a panic attack in York last night when a fire alarm went off in a busy pub right after the breaking news was announced from London and everyone was running all over..
Gonna get to the point where people avoid all crowded places and or events. Does this means the Extremists have won, I don't think they stop until we submit to their ideals.

Had to suppress a wry smile when Mrs. May placed the blame for these attacks on "Islamist extremists". She can't say Salafists of course, because that indicts Saudi Arabia to whom she sells billions of pounds worth of arms. Look up Wahhabism and you'll find it and Salafism are synonymous and are being spread across the globe by the House of Saud's petrodollars. Next time you fill up your Scoob, remember you're funding terrorism. Welcome to the merry-go-round.
Arch enemy Iran aren't shy about pointing this out however..

Their ideals are based on the stated desire to exterminate all infidels or convert them to Islam, simple enough. The recommended Christian response of turning the other cheek unfortunately seems to have failed so we might have to try something a bit more proactive.

You may place your trust in military might or politicians or whomever you look to during the darkness, but I don't, I trust in Jesus Christ, The Prince of Peace. One love.

I just give in with the whole world at the moment.
I know it has gone for centuries. Will humankind ever stop it

Well that's all fine and good but the Prince of Peace seems to be keeping a low profile of late; or was that Him knocking over the three terrorists last night? I thought it was a police ARU or an SF kill team; could be wrong though. And if terrorists bump into you some time soon you know where your faith will get you.

Cannot see how anyone could blow up children or wander into a restaurant and actually put a knife in somebody
Forget hundreds of years of war, religion and politics, how could you do that?

There's really only so much the security services can do.
Let's assume that you wanted to become a terrorist.
If you don't search for stupid **** on the youtube (or wherever these people spread videos), and don't talk to other potential terrorists over the Internet, but rather come up with something as a small group of people, there is *nothing* apart from someone grassing you up that will get you caught.

Even if they disagree with the morality of the extremist doesn't mean they would grass for fear of their own safety.
And now its come to light that one of the London attackers was reported twice to the authorities and nothing was done.
****ing shambles

I see that Facebook has gone into meltdown with 'Jail or deport the extremist' posts.
Why not look for actions that can actually be taken, rather than some knee-jerk nonsense that cannot be done? Some people are inadvertently doing the extremists jobs for them.

They started winning the moment we changed anything we do/did because of their acts. It's now costing us time and money, millions of hours wasted on security and millions of pounds on paying folk to implement it.
My wife flew France to Leeds-Bradford last night. I waited with her until she went flight side. Watching folk have to remove belts and shoes before placing everything to be scanned, then walk through a body scanner, the whole lot taking an age, made my blood boil.
I'm not a supporter of capital punishment, but maybe it's time it was brought back for a terrorist act, or plotting one?

Won? Of course they have won

That's not much of a deterrent when they're planning to blow themselves up, or like the London lot, they're shot dead at the scene.
And would you prefer to risk losing your wife in a bombed plane or put up with the inconvenience of security checks? I fly a lot and hate the pre-flight processes, but exploding in mid air appeals a lot less. But you're right, in this respect the terrorists have scored a victory. But they haven't won yet.
