I thought you and Jack were the wisdom of everything? but going back to what I said above - a properly designed product should not 'explode' even if an incorrect charger is used, it will only take what ever current it needs. Correctly designed products have multiple layers of protection, the main PCBA and on the battery itself which should have layers of redundant protection should all else fail.

unlikely, but this is what our super genius idiot Jack assumed, just to give Apple some kudos for not being ready to use such a technology yet, albeit a technology out for years on Androids.

Tens of millions of Androids devices use Qualcomm fast charge (as well as the S7 Edge, Note 5 and loads of more Samsungs) and if there was a problem with this there would be far more devices going up in smoke.

That's right, everyone and their dog can own an Android device, including me, because Android is free other than advertising. That doesn't mean it's good. Now lets have a look at how many Android devices are running the latest version of Android, that's not so easy to run, the figure is less than 1% more like 0.1%, that's not good either. So I'm having trouble seeing a positive with your statement.

As for lightning not supporting fast charging, I don't think you understand what lightning is.

 

It was clear enough. I DID NOT say that ALL Samsung models are blowing up and the phenomenon is universally seen in them. What I said did not ask for the response you gave; not at all.

Apple have already implemented fast charging over lightning, it's included right now, just nothing they feel the need to brag about and I'm not talking about using an iPad charger I mean 29w USB-C to Lightning.
