Dry sump from my understanding this requires a pump in the boot?
If yes then I dont want to go down this path with the R205 maybe for an all out track car, but not for this road car.
In terms of heads what do you guys recommend I have heard mixed opinions on which heads to go for as the hatch has Dual avcs, but the MY05 STI/SPEC C heads are bigger and flow better?

First thoughts are - "more money than sense...."
V1 heads over bucket shims with a 9k rpm limit will do the trick....
You have no idea what you actually want or need. The best advice is to listen to people that have actually been there and done it. It will save you some very expensive mistakes.
And I hope you are going with porting and polishing, over size valves, double springs, titanium retainers etc. If you are going to have billet crank that has no benefit at your level what so ever then you need to go to town on the rest of it. Budget 3k for the work on the heads alone.

Think you'll struggle to find any Spec C heads that haven't got cracks down the plug holes.
It's a moot point anyway because if you're having them re-worked then you can do what you like, but again it's a whole new thread depending on your end goal.
P.s, you really need to decide on the Full build spec BEFORE you start buying random parts.

Paul finch has stated the exhaust ports on the dual avcs heads are quite narrow and restrictive,on standard 2.5 sti heads single avcs on v power I made 541bhp. Best doing some more research as to how well the dual avcs heads will work with a big power build, as by the sounds of it your better starting with a single avcs head casting and building your head on them

v1 heads wont work better.
but you dont listen to advice anyway so what difference does it make?
single avcs heads worked and with all the bells and whistles would be my solution. mo point going for spec c heads if you are doing the cams and porting etc anyway....
Was there somwthing the other day about not using 14mm studs on ej22s?
