Unless you're racing on a track with slicks in a stripped out car then a billet crank is not essential, if you were you'd also need a drysump too

Nah, I'm happy with my sc42 for now, I like the rapidness of it, not after big power, usable power I'm happy with that turbo (for now).
Later maybe I might go rotated and bigger turbo etc but I like the rapidness of current turbo.

Latest update

I have a hard-on for a Billet crank so it looks as though I am going for the Arrow 79mm. So moving on.......

1. Heads- what are the best heads to go for? the car currently has Dual AVCS I understand I maybe pushed to find some dual AVCS heads is this true and what do you recommend.
2. What FMIC should I go for that require no or minimum cutting. Perrin, APS or Grimspeed? Or would you consider the Chevron TMIC?
3. What turbo set up would you advise I go? standard or Rotated and what turbo?

First thoughts are - "more money than sense...."

V1 heads over bucket shims with a 9k rpm limit will do the trick....

You have no idea what you actually want or need. The best advice is to listen to people that have actually been there and done it. It will save you some very expensive mistakes.

And I hope you are going with porting and polishing, over size valves, double springs, titanium retainers etc. If you are going to have billet crank that has no benefit at your level what so ever then you need to go to town on the rest of it. Budget 3k for the work on the heads alone.

Front mounts speak to Jase at area 52. He is manufacturing some of his own which are alot better than the above.

Turbo wise. I would go for the smallest turbo you can for what power you desire. So that it still is nice to drive on the road.. maybe a nice rotated Borg Warner or gt30

He did show me some early this year.

I have spoken to a couple of people who have used the perrin and have had turbo lag issues

Me personally I have space framed my front end, fitted a HDI GT2 intercooler and some a reverse inlet and customer pipework

I would suggest its a setup issue if there is a big problem with lag.

Dual avcs have quite narrow exhaust ports, so can be restrictive once you try pushing the power

What I meant, is that Immy is doing this build on his r205 if I'm not mistaken?
So therefore he will have the single avcs Jdm big port heads already No? As he posted above something about dual avcs?
Just get them reworked with race cams etc.

.......sorry if I've missed something

Man alive, just go to a proper tuner like Engine Tuner, tell them what you want and let them do the rest.

It will work out cheaper in the end and you'll have exactly what you want.

All this bitting and bobbing bollocks is only going to cost you more money and headache, just give the car to someone that has proven track record and leave em to it.

After all, money is no object.

Non AVCS for the win!
Whatever heads you go for, budget for them fully working if you are going the whole hog.
But kinda depends what your aiming for, have a good think otherwise you could be spending a lot of unnecessary money

If you're a hands on kind of guy then there is serious money to be saved going the DIY route, but from what I've seen of you over the years you're not that guy.

So better to spend your time and end up with what you want than your money and end up with what you don't want.

What's a couple of months in the greater scheme of things.

Also ScoobyClinic (just remembered where you are) can give you what you want along with many others I'm sure.
