There's no IF about it: many, many high tech factories are now located in Poland, Lithuania, Estonia etc, paid for by grants from ther EU, and have moved from the UK, France, Germany and Spain, for four. I traveled over on a DFDS cross-channel ferry with a young Po who was going to the UK to visit FOUR siblings all working in un-skilled jobs in the UK. He was senior engineer at the brand new LG TV factory in Poland, and even he told me he thought the EU must be mad to throw money at countries that had been our enemies, money that was then used to take jobs from us and give them to those same countries!

And don't be silly, please....those factories in the ex-Communist countries employ skilled workers. The ones coming to the UK are mainly UN-skilled and now take the jobs our job-starters used to do..hence the problems with youth unemployment. Which, surprise, surprise, THOSE countries don't have

And what about all the money the EU gives to the UK to help with infrastructure and creating jobs in the UK? Wales, Cornwall, Scotland, NI all other regions the UK government cares nothing about all receive a huge amount of EU funding! Its not all about Eastern European countries getting money, we get money too, for exactly the same reasons, its just our press forgets to tell us about it!

You also shouldn't forget how many British people go over to Poland, Romania or other Eastern European countries to help build up their infrastructure! I'm not talking about the low cost manual labour here, I'm talking about civil engineers, architects, interior designers etc. all highly paid and bringing money back to the UK!

Your short-sightedness is often astounding!

Default Eire Border

Would one of you super clever Brexiters tell me how NI/Eire can have a seem less border?

Just as an example a VAT registered UK trader currently charges VAT to non-registered companies in the EU. But after Brexit the EU will then have the status of being "foreign" and exports will be VAT free. So many goods in Eire will be 20% cheaper. And what about other items that carry a lower tax rate in EU such as booze and ****?

And a stop to Free Movement seems to have been swept under the carpet and johnny foreigner is free to come to NI and then UK mainland and join the black economy.

But fortunately Brexit is just too complicated to ever happen. Pity we can't put a stop to it and stop wasting our time

Hmm according to that Wales got £680million per year

What did it say on the side of that battle bus?

"Let's find Wales for a year with a few weeks worth of EU destined money?"
#facetious

( IIRC the "adjusted" figure was about £200million a week. So we could fund these Welsh projects with a month of EU cash
)

Well, we could, but all that money is already going to fund the NHS! ...and the farming subsidies! ...and the fishing subsidies! ...and paying off the DUP! ....fixing social housing problems! ...funding all those (previously EU funded) science projects!

The question is, where is the money going to come from to fund all the new import/export control that we need in our ports?

This is the delightful irony of Brexit. We're "taking back control" of our boarders and then still letting everyone in anyway. Eventually these people will realise that what they wanted from Brexit and what they'll get are two different things.

I thought Herr Boris made it perfectly opaque in his quasi-Latin mumblings that all the EU money wasn't going on the NHS LOL

Anyway we are funding the NHS(regardless of its state) now whilst still in the EU, aren't we? That's about £2.4 billion a week for this year.

That's; Three times the yearly Welsh/EU spending done in just one week! That makes the Welsh funding pale even into more insignificance! Just where is the current money comming from to fund the NHS?

As for import/export controls, needed it now more than ever whilst still in the EU; the fraud that is going on (and has been for decades) is costing us dearly; The EU wants €2 billion off us (UK) for our gross ineptitude toward fraudulent activity in regards to fraud originating in China.

yes it is getting hilarious - especial the NI issue

the government arguing for continued FOM and basically the status quo !!!!!! lol

like watching children trying to draw a 4 sided triangle

I loved the interview with Brokenshire (NI Minister) where he carefully explained what the EU wants

forgetting they have already said the UK proposals are a fantasy

We are nett givers, not takers like the ex-Commie states.

I'm going to float some questions; Myself as a boarder line remain voter (due to our own politicians), but EU sceptic (due to the EU leaderships)....

For the vocal Remainers on here; What are your opinions of the likes of Jean-Claude Juncker and Donald Tusk? Are you happy with them in their positions and their attitude or general ability? Are they the representation of "modern" politics despite their behaviour or political history?

Not sure I'd describe myself as vocal exactly, but they both seem like pretty routine career politicans to me. Both early 60s, both ex-Prime Ministers of their respective countries. Other perhaps than their views on the EU itself, are they really that different from the majority of our own career pols?

I can see Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary etc wanting to break away from the EU at the current rate. So far they've been bought by the EU, receiving more out than they put in, but these are countries that won't fcuked over so easily like Western European ones and they're pretty clear they will not back down to the EU's threats;

Poland, along with Hungary, the Czech Republic, Romania, and Slovakia have firmly rejected the so-called refugee quotas, deepening East-West cracks in the 28-member bloc.

Brussels has threatened legal action against the dissenting countries, filing a formal “infringement procedure” in June which could result in financial penalties imposed by the European Court of Justice.
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-0...-civilizations

One of the comments on this article gets it spot-on with regards to the EU

Unfortunately, this entire generation of Europeans has been raised on the vision of a European Union as a Utopia that would end sectarian conflict, ensure lasting peace in Europe, and raise the European standard of living generally. They have been taught that this grand scheme, centered in Brussels, is the culmination of 1500 years of attempts to reunify Europe. It is to be a new Rome: greater in glory and splendor than Old Rome. Unfortunately, most of the young people in Europe have sold their souls to this vision and believe that to be moral is to be "cosmopolitan." They are slowly beginning to realize that outside Old Europe, the world is still filled with many tribes who do not share their Utopian cosmoplitanism and are interesting only in deriving whatever benefit they can from European prosperity for themselves and their groups.

Well how about you find the same story from another news source, or are you saying Poland, Hungary, CZ are not having this dispute with the EU?!

Take a trip to Companies House and see how they have been making a loss (e.g. £319,726 in 2015, and whilst having a FOUR MILLION POUND overdraft!) for a while now - and well before "Brexit" was on the cards.

They sound a bit like that "pink wafer" company that also tried to pin "Brexit" on their woes!

What is it importing produce the UK is more than capable of producing. Over expanded, too fast. Destroyed cash reserves and flow. Deserves to fail.

They may have run-ins with Brussels, like many countries do, even Germany and France, but they would never leave the EU for a myriad of reasons. None of which any educated person would find difficult to list.

The government recorded a budget surplus last month for the first time since 2002 as more money came in from self-employed tax receipts.
July saw a surplus of £0.2bn, compared with last year's deficit of £0.3bn.
Welcome step in the right direction. Cue Remain voters up in arms and desperate to try and talk down the UK as usual.

You'll have to elaborate on what point you're using that to prove before people can take it apart.

Go on then list the reasons

They're currently being sued by the EU for refusing to accept refugees, or is that just a bit of normal banter with the EU, just a bit of friendly suing other members, happens all the time
