So Brexit seems to be a good thing then.

I get the feeling the UK is going to price and tax itself out of existance before much longer.

Taking back control of our borders...

Now we can't send them back to France, clearly France no longer has a motivation to stop them crossing!

hardly, just Bozo playing the system (again) and there is no way he's paying less fees for AMEX than VISA and yet AMEX is fine............
if he's all against these fees then why do they still charge such extortionate fees to small business to be on their platform??
those fees he's is earning will be far higher than e is paying out!!!!

So trade deal with Australia is now done!
https://www.bbc.com/news/business-59690080
The British farming industry has been sent to the slaughter house in order to do a deal worth a whopping 0.08% to UK GDP!
Given leaving the EU costs an estimated 4% of UK GDP, we're going to need another 50 Australia deals just to counter the effect of leaving the EU.
Those sunlit uplands with all the Brexit benefits don't look likely to appear on the horizon any time soon!

The UK government has been wanting to shift its dirty farming overseas for quite some time. Even paying off old farmers to retire.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-57149744
The same happened in heavy industry and manufacturing (but without the payoffs). Incentives removed, allowed to be eroded by foreign competitors and no protection from home markets flooded by imports that are either underpriced and/or undertaxed. Succesive UK governments have only ever been interested in protecting the financial sectors and whatever props them up (currently housing).
Its also probably hoping that shrinkage of farming will unlock land for development and/allow retired land to be returned to wild land: https://www.theguardian.com/environm...climate-crisis
Of course nobody told the experts that farmland soil has been so over farmed despite rotation due to being farmed for generations going back to medieval times as strip farming under the open field system, it will take many decades for any real biodiversity to return; All you'll likely get is just a load of weak Ashes prone to dieback and Sycamore weeds sprouting everywhere. So, more housing it is then!

After negotiating a terrible Brexit deal and failing to get any improvements to the NI protocol which currently highlights how NI is better if within the EU customs union and outside the UK, Lord Frost has now resigned from government!

Maybe it's that they didn't get the Brexit they voted for (even though the Brexit they wanted was not specified on the voting form and Brexit means Brexit)

Oooooops, Covid and Brexit all rolled into one.
https://news.sky.com/story/covid-mor...ix-up-12505220
I am also currently in 14 days quarantine in Germany after returning from a business trip to the UK even though I am double jabbed and produced a negative test from an oficial clinic. Another Brexit success story.
