A result from three years ago...a result from a campaign that everyone admits was filled with lies...a result that is still not even close to being implemented...a result that did not say leave the EU without a deal.

The reasoning isn't irrelevant, it's entirely relevant because your 'reasons' have a direct effect on me because you want to leave the EU and that effects the whole of the UK...so again; why do you want to leave and what has the EU stopped you doing?

Whether I or you agree with the result or not is irrelevant, we live in a democracy where popular vote counts. Had remain won, so be it, but it didn't so stop trying to change it.

This argument that it won't be as bad as what project fear painted therefore everything is OK is just deluded! Sure, no deal probably won't be as bad as project fear painted, but it probably also won't be as good as the governments Yellowhammer makes out. Its fair to say, it will be somewhere in between. Given that Yellowhammer paints a pretty bleak picture for no deal and thats on the optimistic side, even if no deal isn't the disaster that project fear claims, its still set to be a disaster.

The fact that the disaster hasn't happened yet is not proof that it isn't going to happen. We've already seen the a huge devaluation of the pound, which has actually helped exports, but in turn driven inflation as the imports have become more expensive. The increased inflation has in turn lead to a fall in wealth as wage growth is only now starting to match inflation. Inward investment in the UK has fallen significantly as companies are not willing to make significant investments until they know what the future relationship with the UK is. The UK has ridden the Brexit disaster relatively well so far thanks to the UK economy being in great shape prior to the Brexit vote. While things are reasonably good right now in the UK, they could have been a lot better and unless there is a deal, things are set to get a lot worse!

 

No, I read what's in front of me and try and discern what is being communicated. Doom & gloom is an anecdote; the UK has not kept pace with the rest of their OECD nations...you seemed happy to accept some form of pain so I'm interested to find out what you think the pay off is for you.

Over three years have passed since the referendum and the country\world is a very different place to before the referendum took place.

the list simply points out all the unnecessary hoops people who export to the EU have to go thru that they don't now - that's all, no one apart from you is saying it looks difficult, just that it is extra admin/costs that does not happen now

and the process is replicated by businesses importing stuff from the EU - again hoops that are not there now
