Hey, it'll only take a couple weeks for us to sort something for ourselves

The main thing is Farage won't have to sit on his own table at lunchtime anymore

protected for 2 years if we do two and get rid of all tariffs but what happens after that. Also the EU is bound to to impose tariffs o us if we bail on a no.deal to punish us.

It's not hard to leave, just hard to leave and keep all the benefits of being a member. It's not rocket science. The EU have been clear from the outset, they haven't made it hard, or tried to prevent us leaving, just clear on what leaving means. It's us who have made it hard.

What exactly do you think is our bargaining position? What are we offering the EU that would would make the bend over and give us what we want?

What has changed since the original deal was put on the table by the EU that now gives us the ability to negotiate?

what its all about MONEY

plain and simple they want our MONEY if it were greece wanting to leave they wouldnt give a toss.

i work in the car trade, so lets just take that

look at the german car manufactures
bmw
vw group (audi/vw/seat/skoda)
mercedes/smart

car sales alone are huge, then theres the aftermarket crash repair centre, buying parts, paints dry goods, that sector on its own is worth billions to the eu.

you can go through every sector like this.

as a country in % we sell/make very little in comparrison

Gambino would proud that kind of extortion tactic

This is an argument that has already been nullified; we will still be buying their cars, they are just going to cost us more once we are outside the single market.

So not a point we can use for leverage in negotiations.

That will really help our reputation when it comes to negotiating all these new trade agreements wont it; UK=risk=higher costs for the UK to offset that risk. Genius.

They want our money, I'm sure they do, but without our money (assuming you mean our budget contribution), they have already planned for that shortfall, and agreement has been made by the remaining member states to cover it. So that is something in plan, I don't really see them doing a U turn on that basis.

Cars, they will just be more expensive, for us. We are not going to suddenly switch to buying Ssanyongs or similar, it would be devastating to us, for the same reasons it would be disasterous to them, so to say that cars if a factor in changing the deal is pretty non sensical. We will still buy German cars, they will cost more. And, int he great scheme of things, the cars tha we buy are but a drop in the ocean compared to the whole picture.

And we can go through every sector, you're right, and virtually all of them will be the same, we have more to lose than them.

summat different to do init

no in reality, while i dont for one minute think we shouldnt help those in need, we seem to get the migration of the dregs of europe coming here. the less savory characters, lets face it theres enough British born of those. professional migration im not fussed about, as that levels itself out.

were a soft touch as a country.

we have babied the the new generation and its showing the total lack if disrespect .

theres no right answers in any of this, but if you think for one minute those in charge are thinking of anything other than money your wrong

I do agree there is a social malaise, but that's a tough one to quantify...these aren't EU issues though are they...they are UK or maybe global issues? I'd have though more people working together the greater the chance of making a positive impact....maybe.

And when you say British cars, you of course mean cars made in Britain by foreign manufacturers who are likely to move out of the UK if there is no deal!

Wouldn't mind a Kia Stinger GT.
And it costs less than a BMW 430i M and much quicker.

Another deluded Brexiteer that thinks that the UK is in a negotiation.
Open your eyes; the last 2 and half years has simply been an exercise in damage limitation, trying to limit the fallout from the stupid position that the Brexiteers have put us in.
You can't 'negotiate' when your only card is the threat to commit economic suicide if you don't get what you're asking for.

Quick Reply: So Brexit seems to be a good thing then.
