So Brexit seems to be a good thing then.

But aren't there 1.36 million unemployed Brits sitting at home claiming benefits?

This is due to shortage of labour, it's not the same at all. We simply do not have the people to do the work. Demand outstrips supply, prices (or in this case wages) go up. There is no evidence that immigration drove them down.

Positive early start, redressing over a decade of cheap immigrant labour. Government will have to reduce state benefits and encourage work ethic.

So presumably, if you were unfortunate enough to lose your job through no fault of your own, you'd be happy to be forced to work as a kitchen porter for minimum wage?

Why not? Is there some shame in being a kitchen porter, when you're unemployed? Working doesnt preclude someone from seeking a new job

Honestly now, do you really believe benefits will be reduced and people forced back to work?
No shame at all. The point was about being forced to do it, and the fact that you can't actually make ends meet with zero hours contracts and minimum wage anyway.

I'm stealing a German job
...oh wait, we're trying to recruit at the moment and the only applicant is an Indian guy, maybe there's no Germans qualified (or willing) to do my job!

HP flew me over from the UK for my job. Maybe there are no Germans qualified (or willing) to do my job either
Hmmm... do you think sometimes countries could be dependent on migrant workers for high paying skilled jobs and not just the low paid unskilled workers? ;-)
