If Trump can win the US presidential elections, any political party can win anywhere. Never ever believe polls again, if you ever did.

I'm an evangelical Christian and don't fit this stereotype. In fact none of my online and offline Christian friends around the world supported Trump (not even young earth creationists). Finally, all Christians are called to evangelise - I'm not sure what a non-evangelical Christian is.

I'll bet you a tenner that you can't, I once tried to give stuff away at the end of a car boot sale (moving house and didn't want to take it to the new place) 99% of people were suspicious that I was up to no good and wouldn't believe me, even when I was almost throwing it at them, saying seriously go on take it, like it was some sort of joke, those that did take stuff were still looking back in dis-belief waiting for the catch.

Different thread. But very briefly - an evolutionary creationist (theistic evolutionist). End of conversation, but happy to take questions on the trick or treat thread.

well I am reporting what Falwell said

and sorry the crazy brigade in the US has the overwhelming support of evangelical Christians

I can't believe that fact would be in dispute

The scoobynet crystal ball has misfired again but at least this result swerves attention away, albeit briefly, from brexit. The Chinese curse of 'May you live in interesting times.' has now kicked in big time. Could be a bumpy ride!

well we know don't we

Build a wall - make the Mexicans pay

Bring back jobs, America can really concentrate on making sh1te cars no one in the rest of the world would entertain buying (luckily all his hotels have already been built with foreign/imported labour)

close America to Muslims from the middle east

Make Tax simpler (always code for reducing tax on the wealthy)

and make America Great Again - pretty simple

on a more frightening note

here, makes for really really depressing reading

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-34903577

obviously from the BBC so the wingnut bat **** crazy Brexiteers can instantly dismiss as wild liberal propaganda

but for everyone else who lives in a reality based universe - quite sobering reading even if only half of it is 50% accurate

It would be a good time to get your Kanye West for President bets on, before the odds tumble after this result.

Well, Marin and Hodgy did have a bad feeling about it. I still hoped for Trump to lose by a very narrow margin, but here we are. Trump is the new Mister President.

I wonder if Hilary accepts the election result.

Edited to add: Even the most pollsters got it wrong; except for one:

Massive upset. It's like Keith Lemon winning the Oscar while Brad Pitt sucking a lemon.

I wonder if in Trump we will have a politician who's going to do what he says he's going to do. Be careful what you wish for.
