Don't we think the 911 prices are a bit too overinflated? I think they've gone crazy very quickly which may or may not be a good thing for an investment (ie the boat has long sailed)
Thanks guys, lots of suggestions to look at there. But a 22B definitely isn't his thing! He did comment that a 355 Spider looks very nice but it's pushing it at £80k.
Interesting suggestion regarding a V12 Merc SL600. After a bit of research, it seems that a V8 Merc SL60 AMG is probably a better and more exciting car according to various forums and comments.
Only 50ish made in RHD
Porsche 968 Club Sport with factory decals? Surely that's gonna be worth a bomb in say 10 years(?)
Lots of these suggestions has opened doors to other ideas which is great.
Bentley Brooklands...probably a bit out of budget unless you hunt about.
A cheaper alternative is 1990s-early 2000s Continental T or R420 "final series" with the wide body option...do not confuse this with the newer GT. They are totally different cars...the latter is common as muck VW. The other is old school pre-BMW/VW and due to this, holds its money.
I personally like the Continental SC (Sedanca Coupe) very few made for the UK market. Bit of an acquired taste..but you can always leave the roof on.
OK for what it is (1990's sports car)....just in this day and age its not fast enough though, which is kind of embarassing when every chavvy gimp wants to race it and you know the average WRX could out drag it on the straights.
In the twisties though it is sublime...comfy too, not over-stiff like many cars are; You can chuck it round bumpy bends and its corner fast and flat, whereas Hawk STi would start to bounce and skip.
I'd compare it to a Porsche 993C2 but with better handling/manners.
