Not heard of that app, it's good to get feedback from users of other apps
Have you got any clips?

Autoguard is free too and works well, it's the autoguard pro that is only £1.79

Dan, speeding up the process!!!! Yeah right
I had a bump in June 2015 and sent you the footage, his insurance accepted liability the month after. All sorted you might say.....erm, NO! This is still dragging on and it is going to court in November. NOVEMBER FOR F*CKS SAKE!!!!! 18 months to sort out
haha Im with you here as Im currently being Pee`d about by Flux over a none fault claim . . .

CCTV and Dash cam footage hasnt helped, the same as you the 3rd party admitted liability but Flux dont even know what day it is when you call,
its an embarrassment to them, I have actually informed Mr DJ Flux today that it will end up in Court,
this was on another vehicle not the Scoob.

Clip on page one there , and if you have a look through my channel there are night time clips too.

It's just like videoing on your mobile. In the app the video has the speed /location etc overlay as you'd expect a dashcam to, and it can work in the background which allows me to still use my phone as satnav with GoogleMaps. Then just go into Youtube app and all the clips are there to upload.
As far as i can tell it does everything a dashcam does .

It sounds just like the 'autoguard' app

I can't believe people that don't have a dashcam don't use a free app like these

It could save loads of hassle and £??? in excess and loss of NCB

If you haven't got a dashcam download and use a free app until you get one

you can get a decent cam for under £15 , I agree you need a memory card, but even they are under 6 quid now for a 32Gb now delivered.

I got one from Tesco , £15 . Supposed to be 1080p. I'd say far from it , in fact its lucky to be 420. Night time is next to useless. The only good thing it has going for it is its functions (once you work out how to chance the language from Chinese) but it's so temperamental i stopped using it. Sometimes I'd glance up at it and it'll say "card full" so I'd have to clear it all the time. Not worth the hassle. Was going to hide it in the car somewhere and forget about it but it probably wouldn't work half the time !

These are very good for the money, fitted a few, did have a faulty charger/Cig lead with one, but they didnt argue and sent one straight out,
I must have installed 10 of them and really rate them for what you pay,

Any Dash cam wants the memory card formatted in the camera, especially any with G sensors for accident/parking alarms, as it basically partitions the memory card for each area it records, and protects for accident footage.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1116953604...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

I have nothing to do with this seller, and only offer advice as I have installed a fair few.

Bought from Tesco , not Tesco branded. Just cheap Chinese crap TBH but aren't all those £15 ones ? Have you had any feedback from the ones you've fitted ?
Had a couple of videos fail to save on mine which wasn't much use. Obviously i didn't know until i went to upload via my laptop.
For £15 , and as long as it does the basics reliably, they are worth having stuck to your window.

Fitted a couple for family members, they have been fine, no different to a £60 a mate got from Halfrauds.

I have this one fitted to my scoob.

http://dashboardcamerareviews.com/k1s/

Here they are legal to own and use (grey area) but the footage is not admissable as evidence in case of an accident and also my get you in trouble as a violation of privacy laws as people do not know you are filming them. You could also get in trouble for posting any footage online.

I got a Rexing V1 from Amazon

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Really good quality footage for the price and they fit up above the rear view mirror, so you forget it's there, I think that helps with not becoming a 'dash cam warrior'.

As well as the camera, I got a hard wire kit

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

And a piggyback fuse adapter.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/seguryy-Mid...piggyback+fuse

Now the camera is wired direct to the 12V fuse, so comes on with the ignition, the wire is up in the headlining and down the inside of the A pillar, so you can't really notice it at all. I'm rubbish with anything electrical, but it took about 15-20 minutes to fit.

I had one of the eBay cheapies and it was total rubbish.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUV-Offroa...gAAOSwI-BWHxfe

It came from a UK seller, but all the display was in Chinese, with no option for changing to English (according to the manual, which was pretty difficult to understand). The picture quality was terrible, no idea about the sound. I ended up using it a couple of times then the bracket cracked, it fell of the screen into the passenger footwell and ended up in the bin.

* I did. An eBay spesh. (just less than 40 sovs inc. P&P).

* And NO!
...The ruddy internal battery has obviously, somehow, become discharged and will not keep charge anymore (with the in-car charger charging it). So all the menu options keep going back to the annoying, unwanted defaults upon turning off (inc. the damn menu language back to Japanese).

It had all the features though - inc. a plug-in rearview camera - and is one of those 'stealthy' rear-view mirror jobs.

But, I bought it expecting that it would prob screw up in someway: it was intended as 'guinea pig' to see if I want 'a proper' one. Which I do.

So I'm gonna spend about 150 quid on a recommended one - just ain't got round to doing it yet.

This is the one I intend to get...

http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm?itemId=400844636694

Does everything I need, and again I love the fact it's a rear view mirror one -- one less thing to have on the dash/windscreen. Plus replaces the Impreza's own small RVM with a bigger one. Which I dig.

Plus can leave it in place because of its innate stealthy-ness, obviously.

This one is spot on for me and is barely noticeable, to the extent that when something happened the other day, I forgot I had a camera until my wife reminded me.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

There is an offer that has started on dashcams on eBay today.

I'm wanting a new dashcam for in my new work van. I want a dual camera set up with a separate rear mounted camera and a rear view mirror display. I want the display on all the time so I can use the rear camera as a rear view mirror.

Has anyone got one or seen any reviews for one?
