Scoobynet ignorant admins sites turned ****e

I have never paid subscription here. I am an original member, who contributed (in some small way) to the sites success and popularity and I didn't feel I should pay when it became a commercial venture.
Many significant forums are finding it tough to compete against FB now, which is a pity as you can't search FB very well and they don't do 'how to's', or projects etc very well.
I'll really miss the mass of info if forums died. I see the irony too as I don't pay...

I've been lusting after a Subaru since friends of mine had Classics a decade ago. That really solidified their place in my mind as a desirable car. Ironically, I was less fussed by the rallying and more focussed on the street racing i'd observed which led to my passion for them. Fast forward a decade and the opportunity to buy a 2016 STI for daily duties arose and I took it. I am a professional and chose the Scooby over an Audi/BMW as I just love Japanese cars and modified car culture.
It's a huge shame that the forum doesn't continue to grow as they did in the past. I greatly miss the longer build threads, the sharing about products, common solutions and the evolution of a build over time and the journey. The stuff I frequently see on Facebook is often junk and can be tiring to read, rarely with any great depth to the posts.
I guess the best way to respond is to add content to the forums.

Most forums i've been on aren't that busy, Scoobynet isn't too bad, its not buzzing but it still gets daily posts. Other fourms you have to sometimes wait days for a reply. Wish people would stop moaning and get posting.
As when you get a touchy topic like someone posted a few months ago about a well known mapper and one about Scooby clinic everyone came out of the wood work.

i do like this forum and i think it has some very knowledgeable people on here and there is a vast amount of information contained within the threads. HOWEVER...........there are some really sad people who just come on here to try and get a reaction from people (ive just had 1 of these people post on my engine thread) and it spoils this forum a little.
ive met some genuine decent people on here.
the sad *******s who just come on here under different user-names must have really sad lonely lives but hey ho it would be a boring place if we were all the same.

Your problem is when you start speaking to the wasters, there most likely frustrated as they live with the mum and own a robin reliant. So they need to vent there frustration somewhere. Forum is the best way, you have a screen to protect you.
i agree
