First time I've had off for 8 months, Capt. Pugwash Even then it's a working holiday on somebody else's house!!! Including car repairs/maintained, transporting said car across Europe along with supplies and pets, cleaning, renovation of house, repairs and recommissioning of a swimming pool, installation of CCTV, replacing a shower. I'm almost done now, ready to go home and go back to "work"
I'll stop when I drop dead
And why need to paint it every year? It must be like the crappy UK stuff; What I'm using should be good for 8 years before needing a re-coat (Non-marine). Takes forever to properly harden in the humidity though

But unless it really is proper brightwork you be better off using something like sandolin

on that note
watch a fantastic BBC documentary - called the Trap (it was made in 1995 but very relevant to today - and this referendum)
the link is to the 3rd of the series
https://freedocumentaries.org/docume...e-3#watch-film
and also watch the Mayfair Set - by the same documentary film maker - it charts the rise of modern Britain's economy from the ashes of the 2nd WW to the present day - and is truly fascinating, as the title suggest the first episode looks at David Stirling the founder of the SAS
again a link to the first episode (the rest are easily found on youtube)
they are beautifully done

Lol, you have to feel sorry for the BBC
A UKIP MEP David Coburn, kicked off on Twitter about BBC bias over the Cameron TV debate
He seems totally unfazed when it was pointed out to him that the program was on ITV not the BBC
He still blamed the BBC
Where do they get these bat **** crazy conspiritards from

There's only one poll that counts before the 23rd, and that's the one at the top of this page (although I still can't decide whether to risk a bet on it or not....)
Remember, Tony Blair wants you to vote to remain, so you must vote to leave.

What is working in your favour is 'one person one vote' and the fact that all the thickos breeding for free in since Blair rolled up have diluted the general intellect of the population.
And the fact that so many Labour voters are so daft that they can't bring themselves to vote with the Government on principle, irrespective of the issue.
The bigotted, ignorant garbage being peddled by the Leave lot beggars belief (whatever I may think about the Remain campaign). The fact they have as much support as they do has me mystified, as it seems so at odds with the liberal, inclusive crap the public seem to have embraced for so long en route to a higher plane of enlightenment I never wanted to inhabit.

Here's a question.
If you want to be part of the EU, but have no faith in our government or any opposition party to help reform and make changes both within the UK and also change the way we work with the EU, and knowing that a vote in a general election will not change anything due to the labour/conservative strongholds and FPTP voting system....
Knowing that the referendum is the closest he UK has ever been been a potential and major political shake-up, and willing for a major political shake up....How would you vote in the referendum?

What a nasty little piece of work you are. Stalin would have been proud of you
P.S. You are mystified because you are experiencing cognitive dissonance, the world really isn't like you think it is

Sepp Blatter to officiate, like the Russians in the Scottish independence vote almost as many brown envelopes than lost or incorrectly counted voting papers.
I would love to leave, the three things that sway me is the demise of all our industries over the last 40 years eg ship building with the French and Italian creative tendering (government assisted) to win contracts or the EU carve up of fishing rights. The Switzerland model ( non EU and flourishing ) and David Camscum pretending its more in our interests to stay in when he and his party would be left wanting, and actually need to make decision's for this country rather than just do what they are told(EU Rules).
Again love to leave but will be gobsmacked if the vote goes that way. More chance of a fair election in Uganda.

How can it be GOOD that people have MASSIVE misconceptions about the EU when the vote is 2 weeks away?
People should of course vote for what they believe in and the way they want, but if they're voting from a point of ignorance, then I find that a bit sad. Democracy only works well when the population is reasonably up to speed with accurate facts and beliefs, IMO.

I suppose one thing that's at odds with the Brexit campaign is WHY would any British politician want to adopt EU policies that is detrimental to UK society?
Unless they are purely doing it for economic reasons or being bunged by industries to lobby in their favour or on their behalf.
Talking of lobbying, I feel this is often a dirty method that makes policies in favour of corporations or groups in precedence to the general public's best interest . I found this website has some interesting stats on EU lobbying :

and the answer would no doubt go some way to explaining the Trump phenomena in the US as well
we are seeing protest politics - and the EU is seen (and being actively promoted by some) as the villain, the only villain
it isn't perfect, but then nothing is
it is being wrapped up in sovereignty - which will sound hollow when we actually leave, because it will destroy the same very argument
most people have seen their living standards eroded over the last 40 years - mainly across the US and the UK (not in Europe to the same extent)
wealth and power have been concentrated in fewer and fewer hands
blaming the EU (and going by the comments section of the linked Indie article it is just a proxy for the NWO Zionist conspiracy anyway  ) is an easy target
lets face it the UK government can't even get Facebook, Google, or Amazon et al to pay their fair share of tax - they simply pay what the want (yeah yeah I get avoidance / evasion  )
that is a bigger issue imo than the EU
watch the documentaries I posted, they are very watchable and informative
and I say again, this referendum is simply a culmination of bitter infighting between various factions and wings that have been going on in the tory party of the last 40 years
