Problem with my hatch, advice please.
Glad yours turned out to be a cheap fix, Ours wasn't so lucky. Always best to get the codes read if you can get to them & the fault codes can be then linked to a DTC fault finding map which suggests which areas to check first.
I'd keep an eye on it as there may be an underlying cause to blow that fuse.

So the exact fuse that had blown is a 15 amp blade fuse between points 3 and 4 in block 220 on the schematics. Would you guys shed a bit of light on what exactly that's protecting? I've tried to follow the ones you have kindly send me but they are to blurry to make it the text once I zoom in. I just want to understand why it's gone and try to correct the issue.

So the scooby has run fine for a week and I took it out tonight and the same problem occurred. However this time the fuse in question is blowing as soon as power is supplied to the main power circuit this fuse blows instantly. When I say power supplies I mean putting the positive terminal in conact with the cable.
So it's the right hand 15 amp fuse shown in the earlier picture and it's labelled up as (unit E/G) could someone be kind enough to help me figure out exactly what is linked to this fuse so I can try and narrow the circuit down.

I had the exact same problem last year with my hatch, took the garage weeks to find the fuse ! its been fine ever since, which doesn't really help you (sorry), but from an electrical POV sounds like there is a short, this fuse (I was told) allows current to the ecu once the immobilizer has seen and confirmed the key.
Would be really interested once you find the issue.

Just a final update to anyone who's helped me with this problem. The cause of my fuse blowing was a cable coming from the boost control solenoid which had rubbed against a bracket and broken the insulation. This in turn was resting directly onto metal causing short.
New cables have been run and protected properly to prevent the same happening again.

good to know you've traced the short
