Ha, either that or stupid! Lol.

I think I may fit them and keep them gold for a while. Means I call pull my 17" STI alloys off and practice on them

Update

I fitted the IHI VF43 turbo today.

Took me around 4/5 hours to complete though I did have some help!

VF43 vs TD04

And a quick idle video:

Edit:

Forgot to add I also fitted a V8 STI Speedo and a Genuine STI Duracon gear ****:

and a video of why I fitted the speedo:

Ok so @bludgod done a quick bit of mapping last night to get me up and running. All I can say is Wow.. The power from the turbo is awesome. It pulls like a train the whole way through the rev range.. Couldn't be happier!

Still more mapping to be done before I can quote any figures :P

Update:

Well on Friday my radiator decided to give up, I believe it blew the top seal (Couldn’tsee any noticeable cracks to suggest otherwise).

So I set about trying to find a replacement last minute.

After a few posts online and a call to my nearest breakers I found an alloyradiator, so I set off at 08:00 Saturday morning to collect it.

Fitting the radiator wasn’t too bad though bleeding it was a bit of a pain.

I also had a bit of an issue with the top hose – it kept hitting the fan, ofcourse I only found this out after the car was already full of coolant! Thougha bit of fiddling and I finally got it sorted

( I also fitted a front strut brace )

Before:

New radiator in and after a quick polish:

C&C Welcome as always.
Matt.

Pretty expensive update:

My 5speed gearbox wasn't having a good time and didn't seem to like the new turbo so it began making strange noises, still selected gears fine, just sounded horrible. My thinking is the 5speed probably won't hold up much longer so thought it was time to get it sorted.

SO, I went ahead and Purchased an 6 speed STI gearbox from @mattyBR5

I have also bought a good few more items. Will upload photos as and when they arrive

Matt.

Does match.

Though what I've bought is 6 speed box, selector, shafts and front shafts as mine are currently male and the box is female
