Update time!

I ordered myself a new clutch.

I had been checking reviews on various clutches, I liked the price point on the Competition Clutch's and what they say they do, though the reviews were putting me off, big time!

I had an Exedy Pink box on my Bugeye STI which I liked, so I thought I would just go for the same again to be on the safe side.

Also got myself some Oil;

Motul Gear 300 x 5
Motul SAE90 x 1
& Millers 10W50.

Hopefully going to get the clutch done this week.

C&C welcome as always.
Matt.

I know this is after the dog has bolted, but thought I'd post up anyway...

Got a CC stage 2 in my STi 5 running 384/349. With a OEM flywheel machined and lightened to 7.5kg.

No issues whatsoever... Loving it.

See it was the comp stage 1 I was going to go for as there was such a massive difference price wise between it and the pink box. Though there isn't much difference in price between the stage 2 and pinkbox so I'm happy enough

Update

Well the clutch was fitted today by Murray Motorsport.

I was expecting the clutch to be very heavy (to push down), like the pink box in my STI was, though it seems very similar if not lighter than the standard clutch!

Its a little juddery, though I think that'll start to go away once its actually broken in.

A picture of the old clutch:

Lol! You just wanting to see if I **** it up or not haha.

I'm not sure I will, I was comparing badged vs badgeless and I think I prefer the badged, plus it's a whole load of hassle to do for something that'll go almost unnoticed!

Update!

I went and purchased a few things - May aswell put that new clutch to good use;

IHI VF43 turbo - the V43 turbos are the standard turbos on Hawkeye STI's RB320's etc etc , from what i've read these make very good power

Subaru STI Pink injectors

And lastly an STi Speedo, just for the rev beeper :P .

C&C welcome as always.

Yeah man! I'm thinking Anthracite Grey.

Also considering painting them myself. Can just get the tyres removed and work away at them when I get some spare time . Will do one wheel first and if it turns out well do the rest, though ill inspect once they actually arrive!

Your certainly competent enough pal and anthracite grey would be just right and I'm sure you'll make the right decision when sorting it
