Default Matt's Crystal Grey Impreza

Hello,

Not new to the site though I have gotten myself back into a Subaru.

For those that don't know, this is my 3rd Impreza, I started off with a 2003 Blob STI and then moved to a 2002 Prodrive Bugeye STI.

I ended up selling my bug to buy a house with the other half, so I've been dying to get another Subaru, it may not be another STI but its better than nothing!

So here it is,

2005 Impreza WRX with PPP 82k miles

The only real extras it had was V9 front Brembo's and the prodrive pack.

It unfortunately comes with the most awful alloys known to man

Advert pictures:

Edit:

Spec to date:

Interior

V9 STI Seats – Front and Rear
V9 STI 3 Spoke Black Steering Wheel
V9 STI Doorcards
V8 STI Speedo with adjustable shift light & Beeper
STI Duracon 6speed gearknob

V9 STI Front Brembos
Blitz Nurspec R Exhaust
K&N Typhoon induction kit
Genuine HKS SSQV V4
Decat Up Pipe
Decat Downpipe
Upgraded Alloy Radiator
Apex Lowering Springs

Dress bits

Rallytech SS Bolt kit
Zunsport grilles – Upper and lower painted Mat Black
Headlights Detango’d / Painted Satin Black

So here some of my updates.

I started off by removing the rear badges:

(Pink hairdryer isn't mine :P )

I then moved on to Detango'ing the headlights:

I also decided to refurb them, during:

Then the finished product:

C&C welcome as always

Well, I picked up a PSI3 data monitor from a fellow site member.
Had to purchase a new CD player too so I didn't have a random gap in the centre console so just went with a Sony Bluetooth head unit:

Before:

After:

I have to say, very happy with the PSI3 data monitor, Its nice to be able to keep an eye on everything.

Santa brought me a nice JDM Red hazard, surprisingly he brought me one last year too, but for my last subaru lol

I decided to have a go at painting the centre console, I have seen someone local with a mat black dash and loved it so thought id give it a go. I used plasti dip so I could remove it if I Fcuked it up!

Silver trim removed:

No during pictures just straight to the finished product:

C&C welcome as always.

I also changed the exhaust, I switched from the prodrive exhaust to a Japspeed backbox / centre section. I just think the prodrive exhaust is far too quiet!

Also have a Decat downpipe to go on before the next mapping session, then next up is decat uppipe & fuel pump

Will get a video up ASAP

Lastly I've purchased:

V9 Hawkeye STI front and rear seats
V9 STI doorcards
And a widetrack STI steering wheel

I will get some photos up when I get it all fitted.

Regards,
Matt.

Thanks!

I know, they really do let it down but I figured i would start on the inside first, need to pay some of the credit card off first lol

I've always had PFF7's on my subaru's though I like these revolution alloys:

Looks nice.

The alloys are not that bad, I just think they are the wrong alloys for that car.

I really don't like them but they'll have to do for the time being, no idea why anyone would fit them. I would love to know what the previous owner took off to fit these

No havnt seen them! Going to go on the lookout now, are they XXR527's?

Yeah she'll need lowered, I live out in the country with a lot of back roads, I find the car rolls a bit too much, saying that I could get a couple of strut braces and see how I get on lol.

Here send me through a link in case I cant find the wheels!

Edit: Just found them: https://www.scoobynet.com/wheels-and...e-or-swap.html

Unfortunately they're out of my price range at the moment, plus id need to get them shipped to me so probably another £50 ontop lol.

Matt.

Thanks!

I used 1000 wet & dry then worked my way up to 3000 I think it was, then went on to the DA, compound then polish, then used Meguiars plastic x to give them a bit of protection.

It's very easy, about 5 star head screws to get the centre console out itself then then a couple to remove the little cigarette bit from the gear bit.

I'm honestly not sure. I haven had any bother from having it fitted though. I had the same size one on my prodrive bug. Looks much better than the big huge plate lol.

I will maybe put the standard one back on for MOT, just incase.
