It was cdf droplinks I replaced the whiteline wire ones with.
Just had a check,even the rubber is still orange and they look pretty good still

Well I solved the problem if not the issue.

I had the car MoT'd somewhere else today and it went straight through.

Will probably send Whiteline and email anyway, for my own curiosity.

I personally think the first MOT tester may of let you down maybe trying to create work which is bang out of order if that was the case. If you do in the future find that there is nothing wrong with the whiteline parts I'd be tempted to go back and ask for my money back for the first MOT.

Who did the first MOT ? I have just visited a "renowned" Subaru Independent for a full service, and thought I was getting a lot of induction noise on the way back; then did my coilpacks a week later only to find the air box lid didn`t have the lugs locked in and was just held on by the clips. Makes you wonder !
