As for dates im unsure as it was a while ago now but i can tell from the pumps themselves by looking at them

What was causing all these pumps to fail?
Mine has done 4 thousand miles since fitting. So nothing like the few days you mentioned.

One thing I have noticed with my pump is that on a cold start the pump sounds normal with a high pitch whine when it primes, but after a bit of driving the hesitation and stalling starts and then the pump sounds like a dying cow when it primes.

Will be fitting the new colossus pump Saturday.

Not sure why they were failing to be honest, we had over 500 pumps from the same supplier and first 400 were excellent strong pumps and im guessing there was a change in factory or somthing as the final batch of 100 caused me issues in the 25 i sent out so just removed them and went for the more expensive but proven best on the market which is now our "colossus" range.

I still have the 75 scrap pumps kicking around in the stockroom waiting to be weighed in with the scrap

Finally got the new pump fitted and the cars running perfect again.

Thanks Darrell for the quick response and getting this pump replaced.

Here is the offending item not sure if it's one of the bad batch, I will be returning it to you this week.

That's the same pump I have, except it's the 255. Gonna have to get a few minutes and pull it out of the car for a look.
