My K&N recharge kit turned up today so thought that i would get on with it...

I started by taking the filter off,the instructions said to spray both sides of the filter all around and let it sit for ten minutes allowing the cleaner to penetrate the dirt,i thought that as it had some big bits of dirt stuck on the filter i would try to blow them out first...

The filter was then sprayed with the cleaner and left to sit for ten minutes...

The jubilee clip was looking kind of grubby so thought that as it was off i would give it a quick clean with some metal cleaner...

The filter was rinsed out thoroughly after ten minutes had passed...

And Put down on a tray to air dry naturally...

It still looks fairly dark but its completely clean, the dark appearance is because i have not lightly sprayed it back with the K&N recharge oil yet that will be done after i allow it to fully dry and then it will have the salmon pink colour back.SJ.

Finally got around to spraying my filter as my rinse stage was to goodand it took a few days for it to be completely dry, the ends was taped up as I wanted the jubilee clip to be able to tighten up properly without slipping off the rubber...

I noticed that the K&N filters seem to be over oiled from the factory,it came out a very light salmon colour after my wife sprayed it for me...i decided that i would leave it for 24 hours for the oils to soak in before i refit it back on my car tomorrow.SJ.

They tyres don't look stretched so I take it you're running something wider than a 225?

A little bit of metal polishing done today, my exhaust had lost a bit of it's shine...

I decided to use a metal polish from Britemax that i had in my shed...

I read the directions and proceeded to get to work...

Applied to the exhaust and worked in...

After spending some time rubbing the metal polish in to the exhaust,it started to look a lot better

.SJ.

BRITEMAX heavy metal cut polish, it was not too bad really, I like you usually use Autosol but had run out of my tube so I had to make do with the britemax.SJ.

Just for you Kaosone,i have found the pictures of when my CAE shifter was fitted.I have had it on my car for quite a while now, just forgot about it as its the norm for me now...Anyway its quite a story as it was all fitted by my lovely Wife...I was ill at home and after waiting around 2 months for it to arrive all i could do was look at itSo my wife googled the fitting instructions online and asked me for my car keys...She removed the STI gear shifter from my car at that time I knew that she meant business...
