Awesome work SJ & Mrs SJ, I asked the mrs to go out and install my CAE, showed her this thread, she used some choice words and walked out of the room, haven’t seen her since 😂

Picked this up from a mate of mine that ordered a few sets for his Imprezas...

i still had to pay the full price mind minus the postage, but i will now see if their is any practical positives to the adding of this mod first hand,or if its just pure hype!...Looking at the parts that you get as part of the kit in all honesty i really feel like i have been robbed!,but as long as it achieves what it claims too everything will be cool...I will be getting it fitted at my next fluid change.SJ.

It will be interesting to see what you find SJ, I looked into it but decided against it for now, my water temp stays consistently around 85-90 even with sustained periods on track so it may be something that has more of an effect on a 2.5 block.

Looks like a revision to the cooling system to aid the cooling of the 4th cylinder (passenger rear) which is renowned for running hot & self destructing on the 2.5L's, however the kit can also be fitted to the 2.0L's.

It won't make a noticeable difference water temp is only taken from one point in the engine. You'd need to be monitoring the 4th cylinder exhaust gas temps to tell any difference - It's a peace of mind / running out of things to buy thing

I have never really had any problems with my temps Iain, but i just want to personally see if the mod makes any difference to them...as i also know my max temps under track day/high boost on my water and oil gauges, would be perfect if they turned out to be lower more consistent after the fitting of it....SJ.

It's a mod for equalising the temps across all cylinders including the 4th which according to the science on the Subaru engine layout gets less efficient cooling.SJ.

As I say will be interesting to see what you find. my water and oil temps are fine but my egt’s can creep up after a sustained period at high power/boost

Its funny that you say that as my egt’s can Head north under sustained boost,so i am seriously contemplating water injection now to counter that!....SJ.

I do think that running north of 600bhp has something to do with it though!

Are you monitoring AFR’s as well as EGT’s & if so I take it the car doesn't lean out when EGT’s increase?
