There is also a Henry branded Numatic.
When put like that it brings to mind our future monarch, I wonder if that was intentional.

In France, I HAVE three....all Vax wet-or-dry variants.

One was bought off ebay for £10, and promptly burnt out the motor, so I exported a new motor for £29 and fitted it myself, and now it sucks well again.

Interestingly, Vax declined to help me source one on health and safety grounds as "You might not fit it correctly and it might, then, be dangerous....."

I got one off ebay.

All three are fitted with cloth bags and I have one spare, so when one gets VERY dusty/dirty, it gets the clean spare and it's bag goes in the wash.

Our vacuum is so funky it has wireless start & stop, quiet mode and a dust detector with lights! oooooh.

I was so excited by it I offered to vacuum for the 1st week. That soon wore off.

Samsung?

Carpet performance D........and it uses the daft Dyson NLOS idea....which starts at about 50% of the suction of a decent vacuum

You know what, our Samsung wasn't cheap but it's bloody good. Best cleaner outside of the wife I've had in years!

I've got a industrial vacuum cleaner.

It's awesome! It has lots of suction massive power lead, metal pipes, can use it to suck up fluids comes with all attachments and less the £100

So much better than them crappy plastic style icon hovers that cost a fortune.

We paid good money for a Dyson before the current cleaner. Lasted 6 months before I took it to the dump. Suction crap and flimsy brackets broken. Dumped it and bought the Samsung which is 10x better.

That's something to be considered: Our Henry is 1200watts and I guess most people on here with one is the same.

BUT the new ones are only 600watts

Somone needs to do a direct comparison, as unless it uses a fancy turbine or high speed DC motor the latter must have less suction - I looked on the numatic webpage and they are very vague on it, which suggests to me that the new 600watt Henry does have inferior suction to the old "banned" model.

But FWIW, I think our DC04 had better suction than all the cleaners Ive used or tried. With the exception of a giant twin motor Numatic the size of a wheelie bin.

Dysons are terrible.
We have a Sebo upright upstairs and a mega power Miele cylinder downstairs (and for the cars); both are brilliant.

Thought that was the one....but at £525, I then thought again.

I could have FIVE Henrys or SIX Vax 6131T's for that........
