^ Its like watching 5th gear ^
I started nodding off 2mins in

How times have changed...harping on about the intricacies of active car suspension....when today 22 years later 90% of everyday cars still have the most basic and inferior of suspension systems...the Mcpherson strut on the front and a beam on the back.
S**t I'm doing it now...I want to see automotive pratting about, not an Open University video.

12:31 ***** is talking about variable valve lift. On what looks like a Austin O-series cylinder head.
Patented by BMW and called "valvetronic" fitted on every 4 cylinder petrol BMW since 2001...I wonder if this is something they acquired when BMW bought Rover...![Suspicious](images/smilies/Suspicious.gif)
Oh, god, make it stop, somebody shoot me....

We know that three of them will be alright, but this goes to show how one team member's stupidity can also affect other innocent team members. May and Hammond can't be impressed with all that.
What did the two say about JC's recent stupidity that has brought all that upon? It didn't come in my awareness to look for what May's and Hammond's views are, on that.![Ponder2](images/smilies/ponder2.gif)

I also hear that May and Hammond are auctioning their bikes. Nothing to do with unemployment, as they had this plan for selling their bikes, anyway. I presume that some SN members may like to buy an item or two off their auction?

I visit the Stafford bike show alot and they always had a massive range of stuff at the auction, be it rare or ex-celebrity etc. Usually all fetching silly money too. Its a pretty big event if your into old bikes; useless for buying stuff though as its 95% market traders who know their market and charge accordingly....I purchased brand new factory mirrors for my RD500 from a Yamaha dealership for less than a stall owner was selling second hand ones!!
They usually have closing dates for auction applications well in advance of the auction date in order to professionally photograph the lots, print-up the brochures, distribute and advertise, as well as accepting pre-auction bidding. It was certainly the case when I was involved with the auctioning of a Aston Martin by Bonhams (nice people to deal with too, mind, I'd expect so with the commission that's charged). In that case it was a six months lead time between application and auction.
Still, handy publicity!

Firstly looking at the times of your posts - do any of you work? lol
Secondly I saw a tweet, before JC was sacked, from said "Producer" denying that JC had hit him.
Thirdly isn't it correct that the **** didn't hit the fan till 3 or 4 days after said incident and was reported by other people (including JC ) and not the producer himself.
Finally if I am repeating what's been said already then apologies I got as far as page 5 before my eyes glazed over.
PPS - I, for one, dropped everything for TG on a Sunday night....with that gone then only the footy (what there is of it), The Voice (got to let the wife watch something lol) and the occasional documentary is well worth the £150 quid a year licence fee.

Good Friday. We're closed...first day off I've had this year.
Otherwise at work 6days a week. 8:00am 'til 6:00pm.
I had plans for today, but had a bad beer last night (only had three pints LOL...felt like six..kicked in two hour later and I was out for the count - fresh barrel of local ale - must have been a bit stronger than normal
), feel crap today, drizzle outside, so f**k it spend the day on Youtube watching Russian parodies of Sia videos.

May said that he has a canoe and and a TG petrol can for sale as well, which he may stick on the Ebay at some point. Some SN canoeist may become a winner bidder for at least one of them, with a bit of luck. That's if interested.

It's certainly come a long way
From this:
to this:
and finally to this:

The only thing that hasn't changed is Clarkson's wardrobe.

It wouldn't even crack 70mph with the ladders on the roof, unless it was downhill

All this fiasco tells me is, much like our political elite the heads of the BBC are a bunch of idiots educated beyond the point of reason and common sense, completely out of touch with the world the rest of us live in merrily floating along without any real concerns beyond the appearance morality, yet behind the scenes they are in fact devoid and would sell their own mothers for personal gain or gratification.
What a monumental **** up they have made in effectively flushing millions of what is really licence fee payers money down the toilet.
Good managers would have handled this very differently and secured an outcome that chastised Clarkson for his behaviour (which was effectively an after hours incident when they were back at their accommodation and not actually in their "work environment"
) yet allowed the money spinning national institution that was Top Gear to continue.
It's easy to let ego get in the way of good judgment when it's not your money at stake.
I feel sorry for all the associated people that earned a living off the back of it as they are the real losers in this situation not the multi millionaire presenters and bosses they'll just carry on as normal, but somewhere in all of this there's some poor bastid that was scraping to make ends meet looking for a new job.
Well done!

Who does Cohen answer to? I mean if this were Sky or ITV, its tough *******...private enterprise with dog-eat-dog management and all that. However this is the BBC - with its "unique funding".
There are alot of "Sirs" working in the backgrounds of the BBC...why is this? Cash for honours? You don't see many sirs working for Sky do you? There is something purile and backwards about this organisation, they talk of big funding cuts as part of austerity...but I bet you this, that place percentage-wise probably has more middle management non-jobs than the political, education and health sectors combined: When you look at it, that £3700million income..if I read it right thats almost TEN times more than ITV's. That's a colossal difference.

It's just another example of "jobs for the boys" basically a state run media organisation funded by a stealth tax on the people and run by the peers and school chums of those in parliament, "Papa I don't fancy a career in politics, Never mind son we'll get you in at the BBC" Bunch of toffs milking the serfs.
